It was real fun.
However, the music played at night was WAAAAYYYY to loud. Vegas Con is not in a bar where you can find quiet nooks. I'd volunteer next year to tell them to either quiet it down a lot or to take the radio to a bedroom where a door can be closed. If someone has official recognition to do that I mean.

I'm very glad I could meet so many of you at the con, I know I only stopped by briefly Satuday and Friday night and there were a lot of people I didn't get to meet. But the back of your heads looked lovely. I had a wonderful time, and managed to get so wasted I barely remember what name goes to which face, so I'm just going to group everyone together and say "It was a pleasure to meet you. I look forward to seeing you next time." I have a few pictures posted on Phii's Keep, but unfortunatly with all the booze I also neglected to take as many pictures as I intended to. Foiled again!

I was a bit sad knowing some of the people I'd come to expect at Vegascon wouldn't be in attendance this past year (Yes! I missed you guys - be there next year or else!) But after arriving, I was having a wonderful time seeing some familiar faces and even getting to know and chat with some new, some quite unexpected, people! I had a great time, as always! Thank you everyone for being so enjoyable to be around and spend time with.. there are far too many good times I had to name them all, (Lisette, what a memory for names - you're a wonder! *LOTR jewelry - www.noblecollection.com.. hehe, I'm such an addict!) I know I'd forget too much.. so I'm summing it all up here - a great time!

We have finalized dates for Vegascon 2006. (I'm really not much of a board monkey and it just crossed my mind that there might be people out here and not on the list) It'll be Feb 23rd through 26th. The best source of information about Vegascon related stuff is on the yahoo group DR-Vegascon. If you have any trouble signing up to this yahoo group or have any other questions, feel free to post them or email me (SV2G@play.net). I can't commit to reading the boards on a regular basis, but I'll eventually check here now and again as I remember that they exist. (:

Man, Kraelyst and I really miss being able to attend VegasCon. Haven't been able to make it since 2002 due to school, and optometry school is not the kind you can easily skip classes in. Still have a year and a half left, so hopefully we'll be able to make it in a couple of years.

I Cant wait to see everyone again! Hopefully I wont embarass myself by having to crawl to my hotel room again (fat chance) But at least I was entertaining! I'll try not to head butt the wall this time :-D

Um...I'm not part of the listserv at present, but are there any plans for entertainment of a musical nature? I'm going to talk to some of the other guys in the band to see if they want to make the excursion for a bigger, better repeat of 2004. A lot could go wrong at this point, but with any luck, maybe we'll be able to pop out there again this time. I'm still sorry we had to skip 2005.
Even if the other guys can't make it, I'm thinking of heading out there again. Very tentatively, are there any other musicians who might be interested in a jam at some point (assuming I can make it)? Guitars, ukelele, harmonica, flute...whatever. Any genre. I'm game if you are. Since I've had to take a bit of a hiatus from the boards and game, it's best to contact me directly via my play.net addy or IM (Gulphphunger).
Anyway, hope to be in touch, and hope to meet up again with some old friends and perhaps meet some new ones.

-Event Planning/Sign-Up Board: There will be a large whiteboard or butcher paper board for people to write down what events, shows, places, or dining establishments they are interesting in going to, along with the time and a contact number so everyone has an easy way to get together.

-Twister Madness (Two sets of Twister + Duct Tape. The baby oil is optional.)
-Scary Karaoke (Still tentative, dependent on equipment.)
-Assassins! (The lovely Solstitia is hosting.)

That's right folks, Pre-Sale tickets are now available through the events box office. Discounted prices will remain in effect through December 27th for $39. Late registration will run through January 30th for $45, and as always it'll be $50 at the door.

Just a reminder that Pre-Registration ends JANUARY 20th. The current rate is $46, after that you'll have to pay $60 at the door.
Now, keeping that in mind I know a lot of folks have been saying they're coming to this years Vegascon. Howevever, very few have signed up. This means we're likely going to be downsizing the space we had booked. That said, we the committee, are doing our best to ensure enough space for all but we need your help. If you're coming to Vegascon, REGISTER. Preferably by the 15th as we need a few days to negotiate with the hotel before our deadline.
Current things being planned for this years Con include: Trivia contest with prizes, Picture/Camera Scavenger Hunt, there's rumors of a game of Assasins being run, and the traditional pizza party as well as group dinner on Saturday night.

I wanted to inform friends that I am not going to be able to make Vegas Con. Recent events offline will make it impossible for me to attend. Sorry, I know I promised a group of friends I would be there.
