If at least one of those 4 spells is a suitable replacement, I'll be ok with it. I really hate having a MnE spell be my bread and butter as it is, but it's by far the best option right now.

I don't think 519 is acceptable to be weaker due to 516 at all. I think 519 costly slightly more mana than 317 or 1115 is acceptable due to 516. Why would it not be? If a profession has more mana available, it stands to reason they can spend more mana. I don't object to making a case of 240 vs 516's mana benefits though.

In that case, let me propose a solution in the reverse direction whilst continuing on this line of logic.
If 516 provides mana benefits which results in having all spells cost more.. then please remove the spell and reduce the cost or raise the efficiency of all our spells that factor 516's 'benefit.'
There are plenty of other ways to get mana that doesn't require 516. If 516's potential to double my mana pool is factored into every spell, then removing the spell should effectively double the DF of all my spells to compensate, no?

Effectively, 516 adds no benefit if it is factored into all the other spells. Any benefit received from 516 will just either A) increase the cost of spells or B) decrease the effectiveness of the spell to compensate.

In the same train of thought, 425 adds no benefit as all critters have their DS increased to account for the +50 AS boost from 425. Try hunting without 425 and see if you can hit anything like-level at around level 60+.

Yep. And the net benefit of critters being set up to require those buff spells to hit them, is that we spend more mana/time between hunts to keep the buff spells active. It's a net loss for the player.

While we're on the subject, has anymore thought been given to giving us a 240 style booster? It was briefly mentioned during the post nerf uproar, but I don't think anything else has really been said about it, at least by staff.

The recent changes have been pretty awesome, don't get me wrong, but we're still lacking a reliable kill spell that's on par with 240/317/1115, which was the biggest issue for a lot of us.

Estild clearly hates us and wants us all to die miserable deaths 24/7! :(

Well not really, but any news on the possibility of that 240 style booster that was mentioned last year?
