Geijon the History Archiver? Old Tales Uncovered! Forgotten Tales No More! 05/14/2011 12:55 PM CDT
I have always lamented the lose of history. Back in 2009 I took it upon myself to start locating and restoring or rewriting the larger tales and storylines in Gemstone History. It's really energizes my passion for playing and along with the Summoners event in Wehnimer's Landing and with my long history with Phoenix and the Order of the Silver Gryphon I had outlets for certain stories such as the Unlife, or the War of Nations and how those groups interacted. We've done tales accordingly in game based on our collective research, our members stories, and our own memory or we've made them available on the two websites I run.

They are:
http://www.gshousephoenix.com/ and http://www.gsgryphons.net/

In that time I've ran across snippets of just about every major storyline I can think of. During the Tales and Purpose event I wrote a synopsis and found as much as I could regarding the Bregandian War that was the genesis of the Wehnimer's Guard, Phoenix Protectors, and modern day defense response. This fit in line with the goals of what the Gryphons meant : To Defend the Landing. Since then I have been hard at work focusing on the Baron Hochstib and Mandis Crystal. I hope to provide that research soon.

On top of this Phoenix is Honoring the Chosen soon and thus I've been polishing up, Phoenix as Truekillr and Merlock were members, our Vvrael information along with the excellent work Danay did should encompass an unprecedented look at that saga. I'll make a post on that information after our Chosen event on June 19th, 2011 (News 4 70)

In keeping in this I found stories that really had no home, weren't anywhere beyond archives or throwaway information, and uncompiled. It's massive. Jypsie has a lot of it at http://anzwers.org/free/jypsie/LibraryMirror/library3.html but sometimes you just don't find much, or anything.

Getting to the point. When information is not available on the web, fits the Phoenix or Gryphon historical reference, and is reasonable to convey in a short form without massive logs. I will be making this information available on Krakii as a general editor/user. Since I am focusing on storylines most of my work will be in the storyline section.

My work has focused on the War of Nations, but I've made a few entries into the current Summoners Saga, but only basics for people to get involved as Greganth, Seomanthe, and others will provide the complete saga as it closes in detail perhaps unrivaled in Gemstone history. (We have a lot of logs. It's massive)

I'd like to present the Archmage in the Alchemists. It's just the beginning, but it shows where I plan to go. This is more widely known as the V'reen morph saga. Here is the link: http://www.krakiipedia.org/wiki/The_Archmage_in_the_Alchemists and the greater WoN section: http://www.krakiipedia.org/wiki/War_of_Nations with some of my additional work.

I expect others to help and look forward to continued excellence in opening up old and new players alike to the rich history and forgotten tales of Gemstone.

Enjoy!

When I mentioned Jypsie's lore section I wanted to mention the Mentors also: http://www.dm.net/~aldamus/Mentors/GemStone/frames4.htm, which I amended in the PC post.
