The world-renowned trading consortium of Hauptwhistle and Fiddlestix welcomes the world to an arms exhibition in the town of Wehnimer's Landing! For the past few months, my partner and I have been working on crafting the world's greatest weapon. The Ravager is an advanced steam-powered automaton the likes of which Elanthia has never seen before! During this exciting evening, we'll discuss the capabilities and tremendous innovations that have empowered the Ravager.
And then we'll open the floor for bids!
That's right: your town, nation, or Marluvian cult can now own the means to make your dreams come true! Defend your city from all threats, foreign and domestic! Impress your friends! Destroy large swathes of land! The possibilities are endless thanks to the Ravager's redundant plinite power sources!
Meet us in Wehnimer's Landing at 9:30PM Elven, sharp. You'll be glad you did, and your enemies' days will be numbered!

Tonight, at the behest of Mayor Talliver Dabbings, adventurers from a number of towns and nations hunted the metal manticore to its lair. They discovered that it was the creation of two Burghal gnomes, the unhinged Hauptwhistle and his absent partner Fiddlestix. They created the Ravager as a weapon to sell to the highest bidder. When it became clear that Hauptwhistle was going to be apprehended by the adventurers, he triggered a secret hatch and retreated into the manticore. He gleefully announced that the gnomes would be holding an arms exhibition and subsequent auction in Wehnimer's Landing on the 12th.
This event is part of the World Team's month-long storyline, Flight of the Manticore. The tale of this deadly weapon could lead anywhere, from the shaded closes of River's Rest to the lofty spires of Ta'Illistim. The World Team is trying something new in that this story will be built around scheduled events. Manticore-related affairs can occur at any time, but there are a few guaranteed dates where you can get involved in the main events. We'll announce the locations for the main storyline as the event continues, but check Announcements to keep up on all of the goings-on!
