750 Spell Suggestion : Vex 12/14/2019 07:52 AM CST

Vex is a ward based spell that causes confusion and alternate actions of the target than they would want to perform. If the sorcerer successfully vexes a target then they will begin to cast defensive spells upon the sorcerer (or perhaps other adventurers in the room). They will sometimes fail to attack, reduce their stance, swing upon a random critter, even hit themselves with their own weapon all to the bewilderment of the vexed target. It will appear as if they are not able to understand why their body is doing things their mind does not want it to do instead of what they are trying to. The vexed critter or adventurer might send mana to the sorcerer or other target in the room. They might splash gems or coins. With a giant ward (let's imagine say +199 and above) then the critter may even commit suicide. This is not a charm spell though some effects appear similar, as the vex spell functions on the spiritual forces at play with the mind to cause it to redirect intentions into those prosperous for the sorcerer. A charm spell will function largely on charisma to convince the target to act as friends with the caster using what is using elemental magics. Vex will last a very very long time and be severely impactful even from a low success for the warding roll but also will feature a push-down. This is a 50 mana spell to cast once! As a natural result of the vexing, the target will also have a linger reduction to their TD based on level, skill, etc. factors.

Now here's where we can have some real fun!

If self-cast, the spell becomes a highly versatile illusion which causes those who look at you to see only themselves! So when the adventurer looks, they see a version of themselves entering the room (with a shimmer or something..). They will not be mirroring the actions of those seeing themselves, but behaving in however a manner the sorcerer behaves! This will be of a gigantic advantage to dealing with low level critters who become enormously offended and enraged over seeing themselves and recognizing that it is them (which since its an illusion will click in their mind that is what they look like for the first time). The frightened critter may run away, die in shock, fall to the ground in fits with nerve damage, begin attacking critters in a frenzied rage, etc. A more advanced critter compared to the sorcerer who has Vex running may be startled, confused, curious, shocked, etc. to a point where the sorcerer can seize advantage since the critter won't be interested to attack. A critter who is more advanced might sense the deception and attack or flee.

If Vex is cast upon another Sorcerer then nothing happens...ever.
