Empathic Link (1117) Update 09/25/2021 03:26 AM CDT
Empaths lack a bit of offensive variation. BS is great, Wither is solid. What I think would be a valuable addition is something that is economical mana wise and has some spice to it as a spell. Taking the example of Evil Eye from the Sorcerer Circle, am hoping that Empathic Link could be Evoked for something along the same lines utility wise, though very Empath like in its application. If the Empath Evokes that target and wards successfully, they will be linked together in a tug of war over the
fabric of what binds them together. The Empath uses their benevolence and magical focus to grapple as successfully as possible with the target until one of them is dead or otherwise breaks the spell, which could cause a backlash if done the wrong way for the caster. As the Empath grows more aware of the mounting wounds on the target caused by this struggle (with whatever else is already there from other sources), they apply a resistance to the target so their wounds grow worse. Also, the areas of their body which are not already effected become afflicted by damage caused by the targets own imbalance with their emotional, spiritual and magical being. The Empath uses their skill to remain confident and strong throughout the ordeal so that the target will grow weary and eventually dead from a stack of wounds from head to toe.

A bonus from this would be that when the foe does go down, a slight mana and health boost to the Empath would be possible, say +1-+5 for each after the toil.

Empaths already have a spell like this, Empathy (1108).

Starchitin, the OG

A severed gnomish hand crawls in on its fingertips and makes a rude gesture before quickly decaying and rotting into dust. A gust of wind quickly scatters the dust.
