Spell Concept: Empathic Inversion 06/04/2021 08:34 PM CDT
The Empath makes use of their knowledge in the Empath and Spirit circles to attempt transfer of a wound from a hostile target,
which is in turn converted into offensive and/or defensive energy to benefit the Empath. Example, a Path is in a group which takes a Shan Warrior close to death with many injuries on it. The Empath casts Empathic Inversion on the Warrior and successfully transfers several Level 2 crit wounds, a Level 3 and some blood loss. The Empath locks up for a RT while manifesting the energy of a foreign species and unwilling participant. During this moment the Empath may be forced to Neutral stance and will see messaging that relates to converting and inverting the magical energy into something controllable by the Empath. When it's done, the critter will have the advantage of being fully healed but the Empath will gain secrets and a direct insight into their specific weaknesses, unique even for the shan kind. At this point, the Empath will gain a utility boost related to the strengths of the Shan Warrior. Since it's a Shan Warrior, the Empath may bark once uncontrollably before seeing a reduction in TD defenses by that specific Shan Warrior which would be extremely significant like -15 or higher. Also, the Empath will retain a toughness against receiving blows by Shan for the next 120 secs, like a crit padding and damage padding against the critter the Path is now familiar enough with to re-deal their energy into this form or layering protection. During the stage where the Empath successfully transfers the wounds and is converting it for themselves, they are in a state of rapid healing and the concentration is very draining, thus it would be a cost of some Stamina for the ordeal maybe -20 or quite a lot. In this case, since it is a Shan Warrior the Empath may have fleeting understanding of the DISARM maneuver.

If the Empath assumes modest aspects of the critter they transfer from, it would be a lot of excitement, utility and variance for the hunting routines. Paths do not shine on the hunt though they have a single awesome spell, Bone Shatter. If the Path can get an attunement of a skillset by way of merging with the aural energy, the spiritual and magical nature of the intimate bond shared from empathic transference then they can play Rogue, Sorcerer, Ranger or whatever.
