When you are on a node, it's obvious to everyone when a skilled musician is there enlightening them with harmonious joys their peace and serenity improves. This would naturally be an inclination to raise all present per pulse for their mana regeneration. A highly skilled Bard with proper skillsets and stats would be able to achieve something more impressive then a low level Bard one obviously and the range could be +1 - +5 or something, maybe with a flare now and again.

I am for having instruments available to purchase but also for a bard to actually sing. So they are strumming an air lute if you will or whatever it is, they use solidified air. There are objects now that are not too far from this in science, light material almost as air. A weightless or near instrument might be the right kind for the mana bonus to work with exclusively?

It's a nice way to invigorate the time at a node, the TSC of the area. It's a good RP tool and if it's steady, since everyone needs more mana, people will probably latch on to it and desire one when there's none around.

When more than one musician play, they don't increase the mana regeneration past the highest Bard's yield but they will create a chance for flares. Each bard singing makes a chance to flare for more mana increase. So if you have 20 Bards say, all singing and playing a mana instrument they will have say a 20% increase in odds to flare.

At 100th level, the Bard creates soothing energies along with the mana regeneration. The magicks decrease the RT -1 for herbs and gives a +1 on any roll for spellup failures, so if you forget to remove your double leathers you will +1 added to the roll determining your outcome for success there. Also, if possible a decrease in RT from sickenss for foggers in, an increase in odds for a spell like Familiar Gate which carries a failure rate, a +1 to ring in successfully without losing your ring, +1 to mana infusion such as imbedding, +1 to enchanting casts, pours, infusion casts, foraging, etc. etc. etc. A general +1 in a node for the 100th Bard running for these things as they play this instrument. That would be a nice touch I feel and very worthy of the 100th level for the class there.

Nodes already have 0% armor hindrance for spellcasting. (Or at least, the ones in the Zephyr Hall do.)

Bards can already get 0% hindrance anywhere they want to spell up (because Peace provides it).
