1050 Suggestion: Song of Precision 07/09/2022 08:12 PM CDT
By using the forces of sonorous projection, the song influences the Bard's d100 roll outcomes for AS/DS/TD/CS/CM to a more favorable one for themselves. When Song of Precision is running the Bard will see an additional equation after the typical d100 roll analysis for the exchanges. For example, a normal AS without Precision:

You swing a large imflass claidhmore at an Arachne priestess!
AS: +321 vs DS: +240 with AvD: +31 + d100 roll: +52 = +164
... and hit for 80 points of damage!
Awesome slash severs the Arachne priestess's left arm!
A jagged stump is all that remains!
The priestess's reinforced shield falls to the ground.
Roundtime: 6 sec.

With Precision running:

You swing a large imflass claidhmore at an Arachne priestess!
AS: +321 vs DS: +240 with AvD: +31 + d100 roll: +52 = *+164 + 12 = 178*
... and hit for 82 points of damage!
Awesome slash severs the Arachne priestess's left arm!
A jagged stump is all that remains!
The priestess's reinforced shield falls to the ground.
Roundtime: 6 sec.

The increases can be calculated by a base of +5 with bonuses for spells known, lore, stats, level, etc. The activation would be 100% in my opinion but a 50/50 chance for it to be only +1, so you'd half the time only see a +1 bonus from it at all. The rest of the time there is a chance to get a bonus say up to a max of +25 if you maxed out all your lores and had the best bonuses at level 100, spell ranks maxed, etc.

Now for the fun part!

When it's a '+1" bonus and there's no chance for anything higher, there is a second roll for
a random kind of bonus effect. For example

You swing a large imflass claidhmore at an Arachne priestess!
AS: +321 vs DS: +240 with AvD: +31 + d100 roll: +52 = +164 (d87*3.28/99=2.88)
... and hit for 80 points of damage!
Awesome slash severs the Arachne priestess's left arm!
A jagged stump is all that remains!
The priestess's reinforced shield falls to the ground.
Roundtime: 6 sec.

*Your imflass claidhmore begins to glow! You feel empowered!* - And the glow effect gives a one time +25 AS to the swing.

This could be a lot of fun because it can have a code where some random math equation dips into a trove of effects ready to go, like a magic hat box of tricks. It could be almost anything. The Bard could get a 0 RT for next swing. They could sparkle and begin to spray electricity which removes mana from foes it touches. They could get a surge of mana. They could get a 10 second boost of +50 to their TD. They could trigger a random spell from a circle they know. They could heal some HP. They could raise the crit weight effect of their weapon or bolt. The list could be from minimal effect up to godlike being very rare but possible.

Group effects give a 50/50 chance for a flat +1-5 addition to a standard d100 result.

This spell gives a lot of variety and has a lot of utility for the Bard. In high level hunting grounds, the bonuses could make a difference with those overpowered groups and much higher level critters.
