Troubled Waters Special! 09/22/2014 12:33 PM CDT
I just posted several Troubled Waters dates for October! I also set up a special where if you buy your tickets before October 1, you get $2 off the cost.

Go get that new loot! :)

Thanks Sol, if I wished to purchase say 6 or more tickets for a great house to use, how would I go about doing that. And if someone did not show or A substitution had to be made would that be possible?

Uhhh why have the orbs been removed?
That's actually what I was after?

(Reposted again - cuz' I hate errors)

Ok I read vannah's post that they are being removed from all quests.
It appears I am the master of bad timing! The orb was about the only thing I was interested in acquiring in terms of prizes.
Will go down the list again and see if anything else appeals to me but...

The nice thing is you can always just save the points to buy something if nothing appeals to you this time.

I am doing a couple of the quests just to save points so if there is something later I want I'll be good to go, or close to it.

Agreed. Had my eyes on the orbs too. Already GS mechanics are too much of a grind. ANYTHING that can be done to encourage faster leveling should be done. Those were a great way to generate revenue, give a goal, help a bit with the grind, and move on. Now... not so much. Shame.

I signed up for a quest group this Saturday. Where do I need to be before the quest starts? I am currently in Ta'Illistim.

Also if I can ask, is there a significant risk of item loss on this quest?

Thanks

You will be pulled to the quest start area wherever you are in the game and (yay) can return to where you came from via a portal. Just log in 15-30 minutes prior to your event begins to make sure you are good to go! If for some reason you log in late, then you will need to be in the Landing to talk to the sailor and join the event late.

>> Also if I can ask, is there a significant risk of item loss on this quest?

Not from disarming, curse, etc. You have the option of leaving containers on your boat so you can fill them up with loot (I would bring one for each hand). Once you RAZE the krolvin ship you get about 5 minutes to pick everything up. Don't be slow! Anything that you are not carrying once the 5 minutes are up gets left behind for the crew to split up. it comes up much faster than you are expecting!

P.S. This quest is really a lot of fun!

I take your point Velv, but I usually like to work towards a more definable goal.. "Do X to achieve Y". In this case Y = orb. I will try and adopt your more optimistic 'ale tankard half full' approach however and hope that the 2015 prize list has something to tickle my particular fancy, if not a return of the orbs.

Oh incidentally, the quality and extent of the prizes is excellent! There's just now nothing that appeals to Bremerial. That being said, she is going to be undertaking quite a number of these quests in October as she zealously seeks to free slaves from the cells of the Krolvin ship. Anyone who wishes to join her is more than welcome...even if you don't share in what will be her religious zeal next month, you can share her loot. She always leaves loads on the ship. Haha

_________

Oh incidentally, has anyone found any great use for the translation device? I was hoping that it's use would be integral to the quest in some way, but - unless I'm missing something (and that's distinctly possible) - it's just an expensive piece of jewellery at the moment. I've not been involved an any of the recent Krolvin incursion incidents so don't know if the device has any relevance there either. (I know the coding limits it's use, but just wondering if this device is going to come into its own in some way)

Maynist, Robert's advice is excellent. Listen for the notification during the quest as to how much time you have left, but also keep your eye on your own clock. I always give myself a minimum if 10 minutes towards the end of the quest just to work out what I am taking off the schooner and what I am leaving. Your eyes will inevitably be bigger than your pockets - hehe - so take the time you need near the end before razing the ship. Then raze the ship and take the extra 5 mins given after razing to ensure you have everything you are able to carry.

As Robert says, it really is fun!
