>Is the krol translator a permanent thing? or does it only last for a limited time?

It allows you to hear speech that is said in the Krolvin language as long as you are wearing the spiral, just like all the other language earcuffs. Note that it only works on stuff that's keyed to the language system. This works on some krolvin creatures, but not others. It will work during the quest. It works on PCs speaking in Krolvin. If the krolgeh is hard coded, you'll still see the krolgeh.

Kinda makes more sense but, does seem at odds with its posted properties.

Yes. There are nonrechareable, attuned fly-high-and-burn-fast enhancives in future prize batches, but none in this one. Nonrechargeable, attuned enhancives will be clearly marked as such.

I still really wish scrip was account instead of character, getting 3 minis on one character seems a waste.

Yarp. I found the post stating this easily enough when Astru and I were speculating, but me being me, I simply logged in my alt and checked, and I was like, nope, damn.

She came along with the 80+ tour and couldn't even get experience easily, whereas I assume the rest of us were fried the whole time. She said she'd like to do another run with a closer level range, and I volunteered my alt to come along, since even though his level is rather lower than Astru, he manages to hunt around River's Rest with her just fine. But I didn't want to start splitting my scrip until I at least acquire more than from a single run. That's not to say my other friends aren't prodding my main to join in their next tours (they are!). Just to say, separate scrip factors in to who and when I want to take, and definitely discourages me from taking another character past the first one.

Though it's winding down to the point that it matters in terms of minis, which Fyrentennimar specifically notes.

I changed Brem as much as I could to get varying miniatures of her. I liked the fact that, with one exception, I retained my unique title though to make ale specialist minis. That being said, I genuinely have no idea what I am going to do with four mini me's.

Whatever else happens, I found a good home for this...

Invoking the vellum parchment will grant you a special prep phrase. You must repeat the command within 30 seconds to go through with it! The phrase this vellum parchment grants is:
First Person: A salty sea breeze stirs as you chant an old sailor's ditty, invoking [Spell Name].
Third Person: A salty sea breeze stirs as Kaldonis chants an old sailor's ditty.
Hidden or Invisible: You hear someone nearby chanting an old sailor's ditty, as a salty sea breeze stirs the air.

a.k.a.

> A salty sea breeze stirs as you chant an old sailor's ditty, invoking Water Walking.

Already was loving Niima's Shrine. And now this.

Why is Kaldonis's backstory so suited for Imaera and he already has two custom alterations for her? Nothing wrong with being polytheistic in Elanthia...

Thanks for confirming that and offing to change it, Vanah.

Another question about the shield, and perhaps players can answer this... I've been using mine with the shield strike manuver. So far I have not seen one single spike flare with that manuver or as a reactive flare. I've read there is a penalty if one does not have enough ranks in a manuver for these to activate but I have four ranks each in bash and strike.

The wood is rough-grained and very pale, but takes a dye or stain well. The ko'nag has no magical properties.

I'm really enjoying the prize selections for this event. Great job!

On the ebon leather gauntlets, what are lessor moods? Is this something that can be unlocked for greater moods at some point?

While I am not particularly interested in brigandine at this time, it seems that 5x armor with some padding is going to be an on-going theme. Any insight as to the level of padding that is being placed on these armors? 1-2 points of padding? Nearly HCP? Somewhere in between?

Thanks!

No, these are only the standard ambient messages. There are no tiers, no customization, no anything. Just the ambient messaging. See also: http://forums.play.net/forums/GemStone%20IV/Game%20Design%20Discussions/Items%20and%20Inventory/view/1151

This seems very nice, are we able to add flares to this via premium points for the standard cost, or are magical zests function in some way and add to the cost?

>>Green jar of oil Render your weapons more suitable for defeating krolvin enemies!

Is this like a temporary bane? Any clues on how many swings it lasts?

Prizes seem neat, I like the wizard spell prep, the more customizable things like this the better.

>This seems very nice, are we able to add flares to this via premium points for the standard cost, or are magical zests function in some way and add to the cost?

Magical zests means Heimer -- the runestaff script that has different messaging based on your profession. The runestaff also has the lesser moods script on it, even though it does nothing unless there's a special ability on the item -- but I figured it is better to have it on there for if people get them flared on their own than not. Neither of these scripts are combat scripts, so the runestaff will not carry a scripted premium point surcharge.

>Is this like a temporary bane? Any clues on how many swings it lasts?

The oil itself has 10 rubs, but the number of swings it lasts depends on a number of factors that aren't mine to disclose.

The spell prep phrases were done by the glorious GameMaster Tamuz. We're going to try to feature a different spell circle phrase and a different single spell phrase every time that the shop changes out.

Unless they prove to be super popular, in which case I might try talking Vanah into multiple sets on each prize rotation. And I'll just get chained to the drawing board, but I'm willing to pay that price.

I was really hoping to get my hands on a codex from the original prize list, so when you go back to the drawing board for the next shuffle of prizes, I would certainly like to see it come back into the rotation. That said, I like several of the new prizes as well, so you've made me a happy dwarf. I'll echo the request for actual blackscrip pricing if possible. If not, I'll hit up the bait shop tomorrow when the changes go live.

Why is the UAC gear so expensive? Lower enchant, bad flare, and no enhancing compared to a weapon that has half the cost.

They have the same description but this one costs many more quest runs and time. Maybe it's a higher mod orb?

I just finished my first run and dont know what to get. it is all so fun. I will probably grab the cobbling bag, and a couple blocks of the wood for my forger. I may just hold out till i have done a few runs. There were two of us, empath and bard. I died twice , the empath raised me once and I departed the second time and got tied to a mast. Figured out how to get out just in time to raze. we both made our 150 blackscrip

Yes!

The spell prep options come as a consumable item (in this case, some sort of parchment, scroll, book, or the like) which can be handed off, traded, or saved for future use. They also won't let you activate the item unless it's a spell prep that the character using it is actually eligible for. You can also see exactly what you're getting via INSPECT and ANALYZE. And attempting to use it will also show you the goods!

>invoke my parchment
Invoking the Tonis parchment will grant you a special prep phrase. You must repeat the command within 30 seconds to go through with it! The phrase this Tonis parchment grants is:
First Person: You sing a short rhyme to Tonis, expounding upon his speed and grace.
Third Person: Tamuz sings a short rhyme to Tonis, expounding upon his speed and grace.
Hidden or Invisible: You hear a short rhyme being sung, expounding upon Tonis' speed and grace.
Profession Restrictions: Bard only
Specific Spell Restriction: 1035

>invoke my parchment
You sense a lack of something required by the Tonis parchment. You are the wrong profession for this Tonis parchment.

I'm a bit late, but I just wanted to say this is awesome. I scooped up the sailor's ditty on the first prize set, which is a great compliment to featuring single spells and spell circles.

Definitely changed my attitude about the quality of prizes for pures! (The list in general looks cool as well...)
