IE 10 and Play.net 03/23/2013 06:30 PM CDT
Okay suddenly in the last couple of days or so I have been unable to access the play.net website, only when I'm using IE 10(which was apparently auto installed on my system earlier this week) previously I was using IE 9 and did not have any such issues, all other browsers (Safari,Firefox and Google Chrome) seem to connect fine. Current OS is WIN 7. This is being posted using google chrome. I prefer to use IE as my default browser (as the play.net websites for me display and seem to interact the best with IE IMHO) but at this time no websites associated with play.net will load in IE now. This includes the home page, forums and GS4 Skill manager. Suggestions/Help with this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You.

Probably installed / using the 64-bit IE10 version?

There's an interesting feature somewhere on these boards that intermittently works, but most of the time won't. And the game won't load.

Try the 32-bit IE10 version.

Reposting my fix from another thread.

I had the same problem and had to go into the security settings and make play.net a trusted site. I think its because IE 10 runs everything in protected mode and it doesn't like something that play.net is using.

Tools, Internet Options, Security, click on the Trusted Sites green check mark, then click on the now active Sites button below it, click off the Require server verification (https) for secure sites, then either type in play.net or you can just hit the add button if you're there already (I was able to use google to search for play.net/gs4 and click on it to get to the gs4 front page, but nothing else would work including my favorites).

Hope that helps, I assumed it would be easier than trying to get Simutronics to fix whatever the problem is with their website. Hopefully they aren't stealing my credit cards and buying porn with them. :)
