OK, something is wrong here. I went back down to 24 ranks of air lore, got 60 ranks of MjE spells. With celerity up, I have a 3 second RT with my maul. I tried using quickstrike combined with celerity, and nothing happened. No change in RT and no stamina used. On the other hand, if I use quickstrike without celerity, I get the 2 second rt reduction, and stamina is lost.

It's as if quickstrike and stamina are not acting in concert; only one works at a time. What am I doing wrong?

You told it to remove 2 seconds of RT. You then swung a weapon, and had a 3 second RT, reduced from 5 seconds. That cost you zero stamina due to your training.

I'm guessing if you did a quick -3 or quick -4, it would cost stamina and you would receive a 2, or 1 second RT, reduced from 5s.

OK, I guess I am misunderstanding how this works. I thought celerity and quickstrike were synergistic such that celerity would reduce RT by two, and quickstrike by a further two when added. You're saying that the command sequence should be cast celerity, then put quick -4 rather than -2.

OK, will try this next time I get in game.

OK, that does work; stamina cost 5 per use of quickstrike. Now, how do I prevent excessive stamina loss if celerity drops without my renewing it? Is there a command to do so?

They are, sort of.

You can either: quickstrike -1/-2/-3/-4 manually, and spend stamina to get a reduced RT.

Or, you can cast 506 and it will automatically reduce your RT, based upon your training. The more air lore ranks you have, the further you can reduce your zero stamina RT.

I think you can cast 506 and manually set quickstrike lower than what 506 provides for you for free, for a partial stamina cost attack.
