Almost level 69, way forward? 12/27/2017 02:35 PM CST
About to hit level 69, not sure what way to go forward. I've got all my primary goals hit currently, not sure where to branch off into. I was thinking about buffing up my MOC going forward to work towards 3 focused strikes, either that, or start working on my crazy goal of being able to swap between ohe/thw for my warsword, but that will mean working on dodge as well, so maybe that first. If none of that, then I start trying to beef up skills into 2x (PF, CM). What do you guys think?

You have a very similar build to my paladin who just dinged 100 this past Sunday (except he trained a bit lighter on the spells and his lores are allocated a bit differently). Otherwise you could project the training from where you are to where I am now to see what I chose to train in. I also use a warsword with the idea of someday being able to use it one or two handed.

My immediate post-cap goals are:
- 50 Ranks in Paladin spells
- Additional Lore training (Blessings and Summoning lore)
- Armor Use to 200

Chaqual (at level 100), your current skill bonuses and ranks (including all modifiers) are:
Skill Name | Current Current
| Bonus Ranks
Armor Use..........................| 267 167
Shield Use.........................| 302 202
Combat Maneuvers...................| 259 159 (this plus 1611 bonus gets me to 2x CMAN)

Multi Opponent Combat..............| 160 60
Physical Fitness...................| 201 101
Harness Power......................| 200 100
Spirit Mana Control................| 105 25
Spiritual Lore - Blessings.........| 111 27
Spiritual Lore - Religion..........| 140 40
Spiritual Lore - Summoning.........| 66 14

Do you find that with 40 ranks, you don't get the missed attack and the 10sec bug shield roundtime? I've avoided ambushing for the last 20-ish levels because of it, and didn't train accordingly. If it alleviates that problem, I may have to throw points at it.

Learned a valuable less with this boards tag system.

Don't be me and do:

<tag>text</tag>

As it disappears and things go weird.

Instead, do:

I ambush constantly (head shots) and never see the shield bug... I was doing fine with 25 ranks of Ambush as well.

My paladin is human so racial stats / bonuses may play into this some (vs. giants for example).

Thanks, human as well, so I'll give that a shot. Shield bug is super annoying, failed to find openings sometimes results in a 10s RT like when failing with two weapons.

I believe this only impacts giantmen when ambushing small targets. My paladin has 40 ranks of ambush and I've never seen the buggy roundtime thing, and is not a giantman.

I can verify that this issue impacts other races as well. My Erithian warrior has seen this bug with both sword and board and TWC combat styles when trying to ambush small creatures like cerebralites and the lizards(?) at duskruin arena.

Are Erithians considered large like giantmen are? I've never experienced this with elven races.

I get what I assume to be a related bug on my elven paladin if I am holding a weapon in my off hand that cannot swing (which I figure is triggering the same failure to ambush effect). I see it when my stow targets a handaxe on the ground instead of the crystal one in my left hand and then I try to ambush something. The same happens if in the mix of battle I end up with my pike in the left hand and ambush with my fist. The extra roundtime for an unusable weapon never shows up with a normal swing

Strike punctures thigh and shatters femur!
A deep basso rumbling can be heard as a greater construct falls over and grasps its mangled left leg!

The shimmering gold aura surrounding the greater construct flickers momentarily.

Necrotic energy from your breach pike overflows into you!

You feel healed!

Not sure if related or not, this one only occurs when you fail to find an opening. I went to lesser minos, aimed at the right eye and just tried to ambush from defensive a lot.

[Hidden Plateau]
A ruined stone walkway traverses the base of the steep mountainside, running from north to south. Struggling grasses and shattered marble ruins dot the terrain along the path, and a large weathered stone rests near a fork in the path. You also see a lesser minotaur.
Obvious paths: north, south, southwest

Roundtime: 11 sec.
>amb
You swing a perfect vultite warsword at a lesser minotaur!
AS: +183 vs DS: +275 with AvD: +28 + d100 roll: +95 = +31
A clean miss.
Roundtime: 6 sec.

Amazingly, the lesser minotaur manages to parry the attack with his greataxe!
Roundtime: 6 sec.
>amb

Roundtime: 11 sec

And so on.
