So I rolled that pocket cleric, and really enjoyed the last few weeks playing a low level character again. He reached level 18 today, so I figured it was time to start looking at his permanent build. Currently, this is where he stands.

I had him setup to level quickly and do some counties to aid in that. Obviously, he is not set up for raising, which is where I want him. I'd like to keep him viable to play and continue leveling. I would be happy to go the pure route and wield a runestaff. So, Where do I start? I don't know anything about stats or skills for Clerics, so all advice is deeply appreciated.

Attack mode: weapon, pure with CS only, or pure with CS and bolt?
Only in town support, or going hunting with the big boys to provide group spells?
Any society commitments?
Any requirement to make own chrisms?
Any requirements to bless magic metals?

If you want to provide top notch raising and blessing at level 18, you need to go the CS only route. You are looking at somewhere in the 30s with the others.
If you want to hunt with the big boys, you must have a bolt or weapon attack.
If you are committed to GoS you should go with spell aim.
Its about level 50 before you can make top quality chrisms or level 25 for the basic ones.

If pure CS, DEX becomes tankable, and you don't need much AUR unless its for CoL. Otherwise you'll need a pretty high AUR if you are wanting to be able to raise everyone without a few more levels first.
