I'm pleased to announce the return of GemStone IV Search, a site that allows for searching several GS related sites simultaneously: http://gs4search.surge.sh
Please note that this is NOT an 'official' site, in that it is in no way officially endorsed, sponsored, or operated by Simutronics. With that said, I have made all of the code and hosting info available to Wyrom, so should anything happen that prevents my maintaining it not all is lost. The site is hosted through a quality provider of free hosting for static sites and intentionally and lacks a dedicated domain. With the costs of annual domain registration and hosting removed, the site can theoretically run forever without any additional human involvement, time, or monetary investment. Which isn't to say that I won't be tweaking, maintaining, and upgrading as needed for the foreseeable future. But sometimes futures aren't so foreseeable, and in the event that my involvement with GemStone IV ever comes to an end I wanted to be reasonably certain that the site could go on without me.
The search feature itself if powered by Google's Custom Search Engine, and will search the following sites:
I have also built in some GS related synonyms, which should make it possible to use common shorthand acronyms if desires. For example, the search engine will interpret a search for WL the same as a search for Wehnimer's Landing, TWC as a search for Two Weapon Combat, and so on and so forth.
