Divine Incarnation (1650) Updated! 04/03/2018 08:11 AM CDT
Greetings Paladins of Elthania!

Thank you all for the feedback that you provided upon the initial release of Divine Incarnation. Based upon your feedback, we have made the following updates to address some of the issues that were brought to our attention. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns, enjoy!

Divine Incarnation (1650) has received the following three updates.

1. The lore benefit for the INCARNATE SMITE ability has been changed to provide a Spiritual Lore Religion Ranks / 1.5 = Chance for a second Smite strike at no divine energy cost.

2. The INCARNATE ZEAL ability has been updated to no longer cost any divine energy to activate. Now, one divine energy will be drained when a ZEAL flare actually occurs. The 30 second duration of the INCARNATE ZEAL ability still applies. In addition, the lore benefit of INCARNATE ZEAL has also been updated to provide a chance for a ZEAL flare to occur at no divine energy cost. The chance for a free flare is calculated using a seed 1 summation of Spiritual Lore Summoning Ranks.

3. Lastly, Divine Incarnation has been updated to provide a cooldown reduction based upon the amount of unused divine energy. The rate of the cooldown reduction will be 10 seconds for each unused divine energy point remaining from the base 30 pool. Additional divine energy earned through training in Spiritual Mana Control is NOT counted for cooldown reduction.

One clarification. So long as we finish the spell duration with 30 or more unspent energy, the cooldown reduction counts as 30? Meaning, does it count from the energy remaining side or the energy used side?

Sweet is the sound of the pouring rain,
And the stream that falls from the hill to plain.
Better than rain or rippling brook,
Is a mug of beer inside this Took.

Hello,

Only the base 30 divine energy counts towards cooldown reduction. Meaning, if you use 30 or more divine energy, you will not receive a cooldown reduction. For example, let's say you have 40 divine energy in your pool. During the duration of 1650, you use 10 divine energy worth of abilities, but when the spell expires, you still have 30 divine energy left in your pool. Of the 30 remaining divine energy, 20 of it came from your base 30 pool. Therefore, you would receive 200 seconds of cooldown reduction which represents the 20 unused divine energy from your base pool. The other 10 divine energy you did NOT use came from your additional training in spiritual mana control and it does NOT count towards cooldown reduction. Hopefully that better explains things.

"Pool From Base Spell Effect Gets Used First."

I understand--you don't want someone with high MC:Spirit being able to basically void the cooldown--but could that be done as a 1+1 (one base + one training) every time there's a cost paid?
That way, the training pays off both in having more points available for potential use (like the "oh crap savemenow" factor), but if you're just doing some 'normal' stuff it also pays off by letting you recover (a little bit) faster.

Or maybe as something like (% of total used)*300

>incarnate smite target
Calling upon your patron to guide your attack, you watch as a grey luminescence wraps around your spikestar. Gripping your spikestar tighly, you attack a vaespilon, sending the grey luminesence flying towards it!
[SMR result: 150 (Open d100: 83)]
A vaespilon is struck by the influx of divine energy, causing 87 damage!
An explosive burst engulfs her!
... 26 points of damage!
The vaespilon is stunned!
[SMR result: 168 (Open d100: 60, Bonus: 42)]
A vaespilon is struck by the influx of divine energy, causing 113 damage!
An explosive burst engulfs her!
... 33 points of damage!
Scorching blast causes the bones in the vaespilon's hand to expand and burst.
Roundtime: 3 sec.

Awesome.

It looks like the crit messaging was suppressed on the first cycle unless vaespilons don't have the body part in question. It looks like vaespilons have negative damage padding ... ? Weird.

I'm a little concerned the outcomes aren't matching up:

150 - 83 = 67 base
168 - (60 + 42) = 66 base

Is this accurate?
