Full Plate or 1x dodge in chain hauberk 05/17/2011 07:44 PM CDT

My Pally is a sword and board style fighter and I was toying around with the idea of upgrading from chain hauberk to full plate. I have a few training ranks before this is feasible and would need to sacrafice 1x training in dodge to make this happen. Was curious if folks thought the trade was worth it or am I better off staying in chain hauberk with 1x dodge until I can accmulate the armor point to make the switch without the sacrafice.

2x trained in shield of course and using a tower shield.

I've always considered armor life, and, at least with any warrior characters, got them to Full Plate as fast as possible. The DS loss won't be too significant, and will be replaced by the better ability to take hits and the lower CvA, basically adding to your TD in a roundabout way.

Drop all that dodge and get into fullplate ASAP.

This. You can slowly build dodge back up if you want.
