"7. Runestaff users will no longer lose DS for having a magic item or scroll in their left hand." -- Warden, 14-Dec-2003

Does "another runestaff" qualify as "a magic item"?

(i.e. With a runestaff in the right hand, to take advantage of the high Enchant and juicy flares and whatnot, do you lose DS for having another runestaff in the left hand? (Maybe taking advantage of the juicy Enhancives and whatnot.])

No, in this context, a magic item is defined as an item that casts spells (normally, not specially scripted items like wand holding runestaves, etc).
