Months ago, by imperial decree, Earl Eddric Jovery, the Sentinel of the North was sent to Talador to oversee the relinquishment of Jantalarian occupation and coordinate the transition of power. After a careful and lengthy selection process, the Merchant Council of Talador and Earl Jovery has chosen Lord Kuligar Gardane to ascend to the position of Baron of Talador.
When Jantalar first invaded and occupied Talador long ago, the former baronial line, the Donnebrughs were slaughtered, along with many other families in line to rule. In a generous effort to undue the mistakes of the past, Earl Jovery has declared the Merchant Council of Talador to now become the Noble Council of Talador, granting their Houses rightful ownership of new lands and elevated those mercenaries and guards, with the appropriate martial and honorable traits who have served them, to the status of Knights.
Over the next several weeks, Earl Jovery is expected to remain in Talador to help with some final transitional processes before returning home to North Hendor. It has also been announced that during Fashanos, 5114, a month long celebration will be held in Talador to culminate with the coronation of the new Baron. All allies of the Turamzyrrian Empire will be invited to attend.
