Is honestly pure crap. It's taking things like paintings made for the website and just slapping them on generic items. It's rinky-dink, but if that's the tactic, why not at least make a series of icons that actually would work well with that general concept?

As an example, I present to you the class icons from WoW. Each class has it's own specific *well rendered* (not some pencil drawn and MS Paint-colored-in crap like the stuff currently for sale with an implied class representation for GS and Dragonrealms). There has to be of all the players, or within some semblance of a budget, the capability to acquire 9 just awesome class logos that people would be willing to wear on a t-shirt. You make them cool enough? I guarantee I'd buy a few.

Here's even some off-the-top-of-my-head concepts to help:

Paladin: A gleaming sword pointed downwards seated atop a shield. Throw in some kind of pale nimbus behind it.

Sorceror: A rotting skull flanked by bubbling green potions.

Empath: A leaf sitting in a pool of blood.

Warrior: Crossed axes atop a shield with a fan of daggers extending out from around the shield.

Rogue: A treasure chest seated atop a pair of crossed knives.

Wizard: An open spellbook atop a swirl of flame.

Cleric: A closed prayerbook surrounded by a white nimbus, over a vertical staff.

Ranger: A trio of arrows jutting from a tree.

Bard: A strung lute beside an overflowing flagon of ale.

Just have some shirts with a profession name and a funny caption:

Large letters: I'm a Rogue.
Small letters: It might just be a little prick but it gets the job done.

Large letters: I'm a Warrior.
Small letters: I don't need to be able to read to spell doom for you.

Large letters: I'm a Paladin.
Small letters: And my God can beat up your God.

Large letters: I'm a Cleric.
Small letters: Not in the face!

Large letters: I'm an Empath.
Small letters: Taking your pain isn't kinky, it's a way of life.

Large Letters: I'm a Sorceror.
Small letters: And I animated your dead pets.

Large Letters: I'm a Wizard.
Small letters: Stop pretending I'm invisible. Oh. Ooops.

Large Letters: I'm a Ranger.
Small letters: So where am I?

Large Letters: I'm a Bard.
Small letters: And I swear I was wearing pants a minute ago, officer.

That stuff hasn't been updated since 2007, and CafePress is not a great site to work with. We have been discussing some other avenues for merchandise, but it's not really high on the list of priorities.

I got that impression when I saw "EG 2007", haha. It's logically not high on the list of priorities but I figured if it was still paid any level of attention it couldn't hurt to maybe inject some new life into a neglected facet of things.

A more viable present-time project might be to make some limited manner of cash-for-content (nothing mechanics influencing) for regular accounts that could also be added to the list of premium point content purchasables, like character portraits making a return or something to that effect.

How about a plain old "Gemstone ][ 1988" shirt with an very old logo?

Many many moons ago I remember a posting about sending old stock to players on request. I requested, but guess my request got stuck in cyberspace..or the cost of posting to UK was deemed cost prohibitive.

I actually created my own tee-shirt back in the day. Pretty cheap to do locally. I was playing a cleric then though, and was going to NY for the first time and had some romantic idea about using the Tee-shirt to strike up a conversation with someone else who might also be a GS3 player. Still have the tee-shirt somewhere - it must have shrunk in the wash though after 15 years... stare ..What? * stare *

Just create your own personalised item if you want, with the GS logo - with permission - or without it - if permission to use is not obtained. True, it won't be quite as cost effective as having items mass produced, but it will be yours. Werbeast's post below is very funny and may give you some ideas.
