Design a GemStone IV themed desktop wallpaper!
For this contest, you may focus on any aspect of GemStone IV that strikes your fancy: people, places, creatures, events. Your artwork must be original and must include a GemStone IV logo - yours or ours. No sexually explicit images please.

The winner will be selected by player voting (method to be determined), and will receive a scripted sketchbook, 1,000 premium points, and a free month of Premium service.

I'd like to see this more open to non-desktop compatible forms of art. Most of my work takes the shape of jewelry or small statuary bronzes. I could just take a picture of them, I suppose, but I don't quite feel it's the same.

Meaning can I splice artwork together to make something much more awesome? It is still art! I would just be using artwork that is found on play.net!

I just submitted my entry to the Flickr group, it simply needs to be approved by an admin now.
My original file is widescreen, 1920x1200 (I submitted a smaller version to keep the file size down somewhat), but I can easily resize it, and adapt it to non-widescreen monitors.
It has the GS logo, and it's original artwork, so hopefully I haven't forgotten any other requirements.

I agree, I'd like the entries to be public.
If it was public, you might be able to squeeze some viral advertising out of it. I have a picture of a sandwich I took that has like 200 views--it's minimally tagged and I only have 2 flickr friends. I doubt my mom has shown my lunch to 200 people.
If they were public, people would look.

The visibility - or lack thereof - is actually dependent on the settings of the artists who uploaded the pictures.
1 - they have to mark their picture public on their own account.
2 - they have to have uploaded at least 5 photos for their public pictures to be visible in groups.
3 - there is a timing issue where a script cycles through flickr accounts and toggles pictures visible once the first two items are met.
I definitely encourage the artists to do these things if at all possible.
For voting though, I will be posting a direct URL to each piece, and people who are not group members, or Flickr members, or just aren't logged in, will still be able to view the items.

Nope, the group is public and has been since it was created. I've obsessively checked it several times in the course of trying to figure out why nothing shows up in the group pool unless people are logged in.

It's actually a flickr thing. Anyone who has a flickr account can view public pictures, however, you need to be signed in to see group pool pictures. But anyone can view public pictures provided the link to the actual picture, as GM Sirina stated.
