Fletching razors and arrows 02/15/2018 03:23 AM CST

A couple of years ago at EG I won a disruption flare razor. It wasn't until this evening that I've actually tried to use it. I am not sure if I am simply doing it incorrectly or if there is a bug but after using the fletching razor then making an arrow...it seems to still be just an arrow. A plain no stats given arrow even. Example:

I look at the master fletched arrow in my quiver and I see this:

You carefully count the arrows and find 99 in the bundle, each one being a slender silver-fletched arrow, with a strength of 6 and a durability of 40.

Individual projectiles from this bundle will have a show of ""

Each individual projectile will be "a slender silver-fletched arrow".

I look at the arrow I just made and I get this:

>look arrow
You see nothing unusual.

I am (supposedly) a master fletcher.

That doesn't seem very masterly to me.

When I cut the feathers I get this messaging:

Wielding your fletching razor with the utmost care, you cut the useless tip from a feather, then ever-so-gently split it lengthwise. Cutting each half in two pieces, you gather up the trapezoidal fletchings into a bundle.
The greenish-black aura surrounds the fletchings for a moment before fading away.
Roundtime: 6 sec.

I was assuming I would get an arrow that looked somewhat like this:

You carefully count the arrows and find 8 in the bundle, each one being a slender vaalin-banded arrow, with a strength of 6 and a durability of 40.

Individual projectiles from this bundle will have a show of ""

Each individual projectile will be "a slender vaalin-banded arrow.

That is not the case.

Any suggestions..ideas? Did I miss a step? Use the wrong wood, wrong feathers?

Thanks in advance!

Fletching razors should not change the look of your arrow.

<The greenish-black aura surrounds the fletchings for a moment before fading away.

This messaging is the flare being incorporated into the fletching.

You can also change the look of your arrows BEFORE you do any fletching by flipping the shafts (I think that's the command, it's been a while since I have cut shafts).

The point is, fletching razors don't change anything to do with the look.

I suppose my next question then would be can I use faewood for the shaft itself or do I have to use plain wood since the fletching add flares?

Use the faewood for 5x master-fletched flaring arrows. I only use wood because Radeeks bow is 10x.
