It's really a shame that so many nice enhancives show up in the 'ringworn' slot, because of course you want to have your gold ring easy to get access to. <sigh>

If you've got a neck slot or some other open, you could always look into getting a gold ring holder to move it to another location. They're usually worn on the neck but there have been others distributed over the years. One of my guys has a five-slot ring holder that is worn around the waist (it's a belt. Rings are held in the buckle).
