I read this article about the nearly lost art of the creation of byssus, aka sea silk, and I thought this would be an excellent fabric to add to the GS reportoire. Considering it's ocean ties, it would be a nice nod to the Ashrim.

It's solidified saliva from a giant clam that is woven into fabric. You have to dive to collect the material.
