What does everyone imagine Elves look like when we can tell they are very old?
I picture it as mostly subtle, rather than wrinkles and hunched backs.

I picture more in their carriage and demeanor. I always think of elves as fading rather than dying of old age. How would a fading elf look? hummm.

PBARBER2 described my own thoughts on this pretty accurately. I think "fading" is a good word. Subtle and reflected more in their actions and speech than in appearance.

I also imagine a stillness to them, like a deep well of tranquility rests on them.

I'll go with the elves from the Lord of the Ring movies. Some of those elves were very old but really they just looked mature (but not old).
