Spell Idea: Mana Battery 01/19/2017 06:22 PM CST
Replace 415 (keep 409) with MANA BATTERY. The caster can focus 40 mana (more with EMC and Lore perhaps) into a consumable item such as bubbly potion, a chewable nut, a leafy vegetable...something which would not be like 'manna bread' which is a baked item, much more complex in its edibility. The item will disappear say 60 minutes after creation and is intended to be a boost in battle or in a rescue. It can only be used by the caster for full strength or say a very small fraction for someone else (say 25%). If the item is hurled at a FOE then it will explode causing random damage as the manna is unleashed with chaos. If MANNA BATTERY is directly cast at a FOE then it will focus a magical barrier between the caster's energy and the target's which will manifest eventually with either the caster receiving damage, possibly being knocked down and stunned, drained of manna or the FOE being the worser for the wear. Depending on the relative values of Level/EMC/Lore/Maneuver/Health/Max Mana/Spell Knowledge and other related factors, the results of the energy battle can be extremely one-sided. For example, a Cave Troll versus a 100th Level Wizard with full training to get the maximal effect from Manna Battery might cause the poor Warfarer to: melt, explode, implode, turn into mushy energy, become consumable manna, duplicate then fight itself to death (both LOOTABLE), become treasure, be converted directly into manna the caster absorbs, or worse. The result can be nothing-- a cancelling out effect. If it happens that another Elementalist is capable of casting 415 and has prepared it when it is being cast at them, they will have the chance to unleash their MANNA BATTERY cast while the battle ensues which will give them a huge advantage and higher odds for success in the manna battle. Occasionally the spell will set of totally random spell effects from the 400 circle (such as they both get e-Waved or e-blasted, they both get brills- anything under 415...).

Hey Hippo-Grande,

Keep the ideas coming but use of paragraphs, blank lines, or other spacing would go a long way towards making your posts easier to read!

Thanks!
