1050 Spell Concept: Song of Conversions 04/02/2017 01:32 PM CDT
Song of Conversions takes energy coming offensively at them to cause injury but turns it into advantages for the Bard through a mastery of EMC and Bard circle spells. The running spell will take each individual aggression and have a chance to trigger the effects from a number on a large list of possibilities. The Bard when singing this song converts his own flesh into pure mana energy making him or her completely invisible to the naked eye. All that is left is an aura something like their humanoid shape so that their armor and items on their body appear suspended in air by a ghostly image.

Physical AS Conversions (when struck by a physical weapon which uses AS to ward): the weapon bounces off, the weapon becomes coated in a magic which has erratic effects for the bearer such as mana drain/loss of spell prep/similar to Weapon Fire effects/becomes too hot or cold to touch, mana is absorbed by the Bard from the foe, there is a flare against the foe from the mana/magic being penetrated, the critter starts attacking themselves from overwhelming charm of the Bard, the Bard casts a CS spell with the enemy's mana at the aggressor, the aggression from the foe will make the Bard flare up for a +25 AS boost one swing, the Bard will absorb a beneficial spell the foe had on them before it was lost to the Bard, the critter suffers a total shock and fits to death, the foe becomes Charmed enough to try to rally other critters just like it in the same room to right for the Bard (henchmen who aim at the same target as long as the spell lasts), the Bard gets a 'free and instant' spell prep for an offensive spell, the Bard gets a -1 RT next swing, the Bard's blood should it be spilled converts directly into mana energy gained by the Bard and staunches the wound temporarily with a mana based energy, the weapon appears to disappear temporarily from the foe who really believes this and they stop using it, putting the foe in significant RT...others can be considered.

CS Based Conversions: direct energy conversion like a Mana Leech but their offensive spell is either cast on the foe themselves or neutralized, a +50 to ETD, the Bard steals the spell and it is prepped to use or release (whatever cast was attempted on them), the Bard instantly counters with one of their CS spells at no RT or mana cost, the foe will stop casting and begin singing with the bard (stopping offensive tacts and enjoying instead), the foe begins to rally their brethren (like critters) into battle FOR the Bard (working on animals or weak minded), the foe's own mana energy converts at a threshold which causes massive shock damage, causing major mana loss to the caster against the Bard, putting them in RT, they lose interest in casting other spells, the spell is re-cast immediately after the Bard is attempted to be warded by the foe (so a Grimswarm Mage casts a Boil Earth and the Bard gets the BE on them but just after the Mage casts BE on themselves), the CS of the foe drops -25 for 30 seconds, the for forgets all spells from a certain list or all, the Bard suddenly gets a +50 mana pool to suck from on top of their own mana, their songs renew automatically free (or other spells), defensive spells known by the foe are cast at the Bard instead of the offensive...

Maneuver Conversions: the Bard gets a +10 to their CM Ranks for 1 minute, the CM is totally avoided but boosts the Stamina of the Bard considerably, the CM is temporarily learned by the Bard to the level of the attacker, the foe forgets all manuevers, the foe injures themselves, the foe gets a flare, the Stamina used by the foe is converted into Mana for the Bard, a CM known by the Bard is activated without Stamina cost, the foe loses all Stamina and goes into fits, the foe triggers CM after CM they know but at random opponents as if they were triggered to go berserking FOR the Bard with their CM knowledge, the Bard suddenly becomes able to launch CM's with no Stamina for a while, the Bard temporarily gets a huge Stamina pool to expend which actually works to drain the foe's stamina for it instead...
