Cman Concept: Grind 03/10/2017 09:30 PM CST

The adventurer attempts to dig their puncturing weapon further and deeper into the wound which was created by the use of the Cman. The maneuver can become a grappling event with RT of the struggle of contention between the critter and the adventurer. Extreme success will eviscerate whatever body area is being assaulted before the event ends and both adventurer and free are out of RT from the struggle. The Cman builds on itself with tighter and tighter odds against success for each successive attempt to Grind the wound further in. For example, the attempt to use Grind will result in pinning the weapon in with puncture damage in then turning the weapon while struggling with the critter so they cannot escape the further damage. Each 2-5 second RT event with each struggle will have elevating odds against success as the crit wound rises so the talented Warrior who is facing a for 20 levels or more under their training which is maximized for Grind might see them stick their weapon, twist it in, struggle with them with their body mass moving against the critter who is woefully outmatched thus that each 3rd second or whatever of RT where the critter has a chance to escape, the crit rank only gets worse and worse. Thus it's a struggle to the death or to dislodge the attacker. This can be carefully balanced with the numbers for each level critter versus the availability of odds for the adventurer so that if evenly matched level characters will have a fairly low chance to get to the death crit or max crit-- but still possible. Also, there should be a 5% chance at least to be able to EVADE any one of the attempts per round to get free. Stance must be offensive and there is a chance to take a big hit if the adventurer is outleveled themselves and attempts to get this close with the wrong critter (such they may be open to a separate 'swing' or offensive by the critter they are failing so badly with).

It could be something like this: Rank 1 "Pin" - the weapon can be successfully stuck into the critter. Rank 2 "Twist" the weapon can be twisted in for a possible rise in crit rank to the wound and for a bit of blood damage Rank 3 "Dig" the weapon is ground in further and deeper for a higher chance for crit rank (but lower odds for success overall) Rank 4 "Pound" the weapon is hammered in with a series of weapon hand based techniques (hammering, palming it in, etc.) Rank 5 "Eviscerate" the weapon is removed with the motion that will hopefully sever the bond the area makes with the rest of the body resulting in a possible max crit rank wound.

So the body parts available would be limbs, abs, back, maybe neck. Warriors for sure, Rogues, Rangers, Bards...Probably a bonus for the smaller the weapon so daggers would be King, rapiers great, two-handed sword very challenging. Bonuses for STR, DEX CON.
During the struggle, the adventurer is open to be attacked and disrupted by other foes but with the same odds the other critter may be bashed and with an improved chance for Parry with the bustle and use of the critter as a shield.
