Femme Fatale Log (kinda long) 08/10/2016 11:33 AM CDT
A dark hand-shaped shadow appears in mid-air for an instant, before quickly disappearing.

You smile quietly to yourself.

(Kayse places a hand on the stage and vaults herself up on top of it. She turns around to face the audience with a bright smile.)

You cheerfully begin, "Good evening! We hope everyone has been enjoying the festivities during Fashion Week."

Narcissiia looks thoughtfully at you.

Areigha turns to you and cheers!

Iecies smiles wide

Stjarn smiles at you.

Fromer grins.

Sorrenn smiles at you.

You plainly disclose, "We will shortly begin our discussion on hidden accessories. From Vanishing Point to Fans to Smuggling Bags."

You lightly announce, "We have a raffle set up for a fully unlocked and customized vanishing point corset if you wish to enter. Tickets are fifty thousand."

Narcissiia removes a vaalin-bladed translucent silk fan from in her leather bag.

Pies gasps.

Pies clasps his hand over his mouth.

Sorrenn asks, "When is the drawing?"

Narcissiia fans herself lightly with her silk fan, the small bladepoints within glittering like a trail of twinkling stardust over her skin as she takes on a subtly studious expression.

Lunaryna touches one finger to her lips.

You note, "Should have time to enter after. About 10:15p.m."

Lunaryna agrees with you.

You casually say, "Today we will be leading an educational--" Kayse pauses for a moment, her upper lip curling slowly into a wide smile before continuing, "And of course, fashionable discussion on accessories."

Sorrenn nods to you.

You mysteriously note, "But not just any accessories."

You grin slowly.

You simply mention, "It is possible to look divine, yet still possess the ability--"

Areigha turns an inquisitive ear toward you.

With unbroken composure, you shift in place while surreptitiously plucking a sard-pommeled dark vultite scramasax from the lining of your vermilion corset. With a solid grip on the weapon, you gracefully shield it from view by
bringing it to rest behind your back.

You seriously observe, "...to be deadly and protect yourself as well."

You distantly add, "Especially in times like these."

(Kayse brings the hand that was behind her back forward displaying a dark vultite scramasax.)

Areigha whispers something to Fromer.

You tilt your dark vultite scramasax side to side, making the light play off it.

With a nimble flick of your wrist, you slip your dark vultite scramasax into the pocket ensconced within the decolletage of your vermilion corset.

You coyly mention, "Clothes are one thing, but without the right accessories and attitude, you may as well be naked."

Fromer snickers at Areigha.

You clear your throat.

Narcissiia smirks.

You quickly say, "So let us begin with our first item."

You remove an hourglass navy blue silk corset with a cream crossover ruched front panel from in your black leather jacket.

Sorrenn leans forward.

(Kayse deftly unlaces the silk corset in her hands and pulls the ends out to span across her arms, the interior of the corset aimed at the crowd.)

You nonchalantly say, "For the lady who needs to keep something close to her at all times--and by close I mean a blade."

You chuckle to yourself.

(Kayse walks around in front of the audience, allowing them to see the silk lined interior.)

You thoughtfully say, "Corsets, blouses, and even gowns can have special pockets sewn into them to carry a small dagger."

Teveriel looks thoughtfully at you.

(Kayse tucks two fingers into the pocket to show where the dagger is kept.)

You didactically say, "The construction of the pocket is made to conceal the dagger as well as live up to everyday wear and tear." Kayse pulls at the pocket forcefully as she continues, "The seamstress also takes into account to not jeopardize the integrity of the corset or gown shape."

You lightly work your fingers over the front panel of your vermilion corset, assuring the hidden dark vultite scramasax is resting parallel to your heart.

You coyly assure, "But don't worry it is quite safe and--comforting to know it is there, even if you do not feel it."

You put an hourglass navy blue silk corset with a cream crossover ruched front panel in your black leather jacket.

(Kayse reaches towards the neckline of her leather corset and painstakingly slow removes a dark vultite scramasax from inside her garment, revealing the blade.)

You casually say, "Over time, you begin to practice and are able to remove and insert the dagger without notice."

Iecies snickers.

You mischievously add, "Unless you want to be noticed."

Lunaryna laughs softly, trying to hide her amusement.

A ghost of a smile touches your lips as you feel the sharp outline of the dark vultite scramasax concealed in your vermilion corset.

Kayse smiles coyly as she inserts the dark vultite scramasax back into her corset, taking a moment to secure it.

In a mere instant, your fingers grasp at the neckline of your vermilion corset, suddenly revealing a sard-pommeled dark vultite scramasax ensconced within the lining. Taking a few measured steps backward, you slowly lift the blade before you.

You flash a quick grin.

You slyly remark, "Even the slinkiest and tightest of gowns can conceal."

Areigha softly says, "Nice."

Narcissiia adopts an agreeable expression.

You glance appraisingly at Lunaryna.

Leafiara smiles.

(Lunaryna slips her hands to the neckline of her sleek ebon gown, slowly pulling a thin blade from the concealed pocket in the bodice. Flicking it briefly into the air before she slips the weapon back into her gown.)

Lunaryna winks.

You lightly observe, "I suppose in this case, your blade is your accessory, but no matter what event you will be attending, you can be gorgeous and dangerous as well."

You inform, "Luna will now speak about another garment for the men."

Rowmi clears his throat.

Pies lets out a cheer!

Lunaryna glances at Rowmi.

Conneir smiles.

(Kayse takes a few small steps backwards, giving Lunaryna the full stage.)

Rowmi gives a sidelong glance at Lunaryna.

Lunaryna gazes heavenward.

(Lunaryna nods faintly with a small smile, moving towards the front of the stage with Rowmi in tow. Abruptly she lets him go and faces the audience.)

Cotelle raises an eyebrow.

Lunaryna slowly says, "As Kayse so gracious stated, there are all manner of clothing that can be tailored to conceal such types of weapons, shirts having been a favoured one of many a merchant and traveller alike."

(Lunaryna gestures faintly towards Rowmi, one hand resting on her hip lightly.)

Lunaryna carefully begins, "Here we have my wonderful assistant, Rowmi. Please give him a hand for being so brave as to allow me to do this.."

Lunaryna's shoulders shake subtly as she struggles to compose her features, revealing a glimmer of mirth before returning to a poker face.

You unsuccessfully try to stifle your grin.

Rowmi grins crookedly.
Sorrenn ducks his head.

Areigha turns to Rowmi and cheers!

(Rowmi offers a small bow and grins sheepishly.)

(Lunaryna's hand moves to Rowmi's left hand, lifting it up and carefully rolling back the cuff of his shirt - exposing a slender leather harness binding a small dagger hidden within.)

Fromer grins.

Sorrenn asks, "A victim?"

Lunaryna helpfully explains, "Now, if you would give a look to the sleeve here, you will see double seaming - those are the anchor points for the inner harness that holds knives."

Narcissiia shifts her weight.

(Lunaryna glances back to the audience with a fake surprised look.)

Lunaryna jovially explains, "And you can see, our friend here has decided to bring back up.."

Lunaryna winks and flashes a sly grin.

Narcissiia struggles to get a bottle of rich purple shiraz but fails.

Lunaryna cautiously mentions, "Do not tighten them too overly much, it can damage your hands.."

With a nimble flick of your wrist, you slip your dark vultite scramasax into the pocket ensconced within the decolletage of your vermilion corset.

With a discreet flick of the wrist, Rowmi produces a crimson kelyn dagger from a concealed location.

Lunaryna nods briskly!

Lunaryna coyly muses, "And you are more than ready to defend yourself should you need to."

You gaze in amusement at Rowmi.

In what looks to be a practiced move, Rowmi turns his dagger in his palm, reversing the weapon to hold it by the blade's tip.

Lunaryna places a hand over her heart.

Lunaryna amusedly remarks, "Now.. You really must keep in mind they are there, I have heard stories of poor gamblers sticking themselves instead of their cards after too many rounds.."

Layndon takes a drink from his rich purple shiraz.

(Lunaryna holds up the hand and pauses a moment, a faint look of horror touching her features briefly.)

Lunaryna glances around the room.

Lunaryna appears to be trying hard not to grin.

Lunaryna clears her throat.

Lunaryna abruptly exclaims, "But!"

Lunaryna authoritatively states, "There is a fun little trick to these designs, if we can just.."

With a flourish, Rowmi crosses his arms in front of him, and suddenly a pair of blades appear in his hands seemingly from nowhere. He brandishes his weapons with an air of confidence.

Lunaryna excitedly exclaims, "Ah hah!"

Lunaryna smirks as a haughty expression flits across her face.

Rowmi grins wickedly.

Lunaryna cryptically muses, "A rather nasty surprise for anyone sneaking up on you in a dark alley.."

Lunaryna touches one finger to her lips.

Lunaryna softly whispers aloud, "Speaking of surprises.."

Lunaryna surreptitiously glances at you.

Areigha concentrates deeply for a moment.

(Lunaryna shoos Rowmi back towards the side of the stage as she opens the floor for Kayse.)

You chuckle.

Kayse smiles at Lunaryna as she moves to center stage. She tugs at the sleeves of her jacket a moment to adjust them before gazing out into the crowd.

You bemusedly say, "If you don't feel comfortable with a blade pressed against your chest--"

You distractedly add, "There are options."

You give a sidelong glance around the room.

You reach inside the cuff of your sleeve and tug on your leather wrist sheath, revealing it.

Orssus shifts his weight.

You measuredly continue, "Sleeves required for this particular design, but a variety of sheaths of different fabrics and materials can be made."

(Kayse bends and flexes her arm a few times, then flicks her wrist, the leather sheath stays secure but molds to the movements of her hand.)

You contentedly explain, "As you can see, the leather allows for sturdy support but also the flexibility of movement when it is needed." Kayse pushes the sleeve of her jacket up a little more on her arm as she notes, "The leather is also thin to prevent your garment from getting caught on it while arming and disarming yourself."

Conneir says, "Ah."

Conneir smiles.

You push your leather wrist sheath a little deeper into your sleeve to conceal it from view.

You slip a hand to the hidden leather wrist sheath in your sleeve, deftly retrieving your steel dagger.

You smoothly offer, "There are also sheaths for your ankle if you wish to carry a blade there."

You frankly suggest, "I would recommend a sheath made of silk if you are concealing it inside your footwear. Mainly for comfort."

You notice Rowmi slip a dagger into the sleeve of his black silk shirt.

You slip your hand to the hidden leather wrist sheath in your sleeve and stow your steel dagger out of sight.

You vaguely note, "There are of course other means to protecting yourself than just blades. Sometimes intellect and---"

You carefully interject, "The art of deception can be your best accessory yet."

You grin slowly.

Lunaryna cryptically comments, "Now that you mention deception.."

You take a few steps back.

(Lunaryna moves forward slowly with a small goblet in her hand, a faint smirk flitting over her lips before she takes a sip.)

Lunaryna dramatically inquires, "We have all heard stories of famous rogues and assassins employing poisons and other such agents to remove or incapacitate their targets, but how did they manage in such crowded settings?"

(Lunaryna discreetly slips her hand down to the black diamond ring on her finger, nails lightly tapping on the gem a moment before she flicks her wrist, the entire setting opening to reveal a small pocket.)

Lunaryna amusedly comments, "Fashion yet again leads us to one of our most deadly accessories."

Lunaryna smirks as a haughty expression flits across her face.

Lunaryna seriously continues, "Each ring that serves this purpose is crafted with carefully hidden hinges and latches," as she sets the glass down and removes the ring, showing the hinge and flip latch that seem to become near invisible when closed, "and allows one to simple walk up, flip the tiny lid open and slip the agent of your choice into your target's drink or food."

(Lunaryna flicks her hand in a vague movement, the lid of the ring subtly opening and closing before she bends to pick up the glass again.)

You gaze with interest at Lunaryna.

Lunaryna authoritatively remarks, "Each powder, paste, liquid, and agent all have different desired effects, from sleep or simple unconsciousness, all the way to the most lethal - death."

Lunaryna quickly says, "But that is a subject I plan to go further in depth into at Frontier Days next month.."

Lunaryna winks and flashes a sly grin.

Rowmi glances appraisingly at a brightly painted blue cart.

Lunaryna concedes, "I believe Kayse has a bit more to share.."

Rowmi glances dubiously at Lunaryna.

(Lunaryna shifts backwards a little and nods to you, gesturing to the stage.)

Narcissiia gazes thoughtfully at her Nalfein signet ring.

(Kayse gracefully moves back to the front of the stage, as she moves a strand of hair out of her face.)

Narcissiia folds her hands.

You delightedly suggest, "Let's talk about more fashion."

You knowingly state, "A good bag can make the outfit."

Kayse smiles slowly, her gaze making eye contact with everyone in the room before continuing coyly, "But a great bag can do so much more."

You neutrally say, "Of course, the item needs to compliment your outfit accordingly, but having the right container at your disposal to serve your purpose is essential."

You explain, "At crowded parties, one can not simply reach into their purse and remove--" Kayse pauses a moment as if choosing her words carefully before adding quickly, "a dagger, poison."

You innocently offer, "Maybe you need to exchange a pair of shoes with a friend who forgot theirs."

You nod sagely.

You mysteriously say, "Or a note that has certain information on it."

You thoughtfully say, "Certain bags are tailored to have special magic added to them."

You grin mischievously.

You didactically explain, "Your voice activates an enchantment by a simple whisper of an individual's name. This will give the bag the ability to detect who is allowed to find the item."

You dismissively state, "Purses, bags, sacks, reliquaries, pouches are all lovely."

You wave your hand in a dismissive gesture.

You remove a black willow framed shadowbox from in your black leather jacket.

Sbinna places her hands on her hips and casually surveys her surroundings.

Kayse smiles slowly as she drums her nails against the wood of the shadowbox.

You brightly inquire, "Why not an object that can blend into the surroundings a bit more in a manor or house?"

(Kayse holds the shadowbox towards the audience, displaying the colorful wildflowers inside the glass. She flips up a hinge on the back of the item and opens the back of it up.)

You open a black willow framed shadowbox.

You remove a piece of ivory parchment from in your oval vanity case.

You put a piece of ivory parchment in your willow framed shadowbox.

(Kayse closes the back of the shadowbox and secures the hinge over the back.)

You close a black willow framed shadowbox.

You softly whisper a single name to your shadowbox, the name "Rowmi" resonating against the woven cloth.

You glance suspiciously around the room.

You look around briefly for a place to hide your willow framed shadowbox, one that only you or Rowmi could possibly find. Finding one, you quickly stuff the willow framed shadowbox out of sight, making sure that it is well hidden.

Speaking casually to Orssus, you say, "Go ahead and try to find it."

Orssus raises an eyebrow in your direction.

Orssus searches around for a moment.

Orssus shrugs.

Speaking lightly to Rowmi, you say, "Now you try."

Lunaryna laughs softly, trying to hide her amusement.

Rowmi gives a sidelong glance around the room.

Rowmi searches around for a moment, retrieving a black willow framed shadowbox that you didn't notice previously.

You give a short little hum of surprise.

You smile at Rowmi.

Rowmi indicates a black willow framed shadowbox as a possible option.

You neutrally say, "Any type of container will do. It is best to use your judgement and customize the object to the surroundings you will be in. Whether it is to match your outfit accordingly or your host's decor, this item can be a great addition to your fashion arsenal."

Lunaryna says, "And no lady's arsenal is complete without something more fashionable than shoes.."

Lunaryna gracefully twists her wrist with a flourish sliding the closed ebon silk fan into her hand swiftly.

You grin slowly.

Lunaryna slowly tilts her wrist upwards, flicking her ebon silk fan open in a smooth delicate motion while gazing demurely past the thin razored blades branching across the fan.

Lunaryna glances around the room.

Narcissiia fans herself lightly with her silk fan, the small bladepoints within glittering like a trail of twinkling stardust over her skin as she takes on a subtly studious expression.

Narcissiia adopts an agreeable expression.

You take a few steps back.

Teveriel gazes in amusement at Serenwy.

Lunaryna spread her ebon silk fan wide and sweep it across her face, letting it fall in a sharp bladed arc to her sides where she shuts it with a sharp SNAP!

Lunaryna winks at Narcissiia.

Lunaryna slowly reveal, "Fans such as these have been used for centuries among the courtesans, most notably the Nalfein, for communication and signalling at balls, functions, coronations.."

Narcissiia laughs softly, trying to hide her amusement.

Lunaryna whisks open her ebon silk fan with a fluid snap of her wrist, its razored edges mirroring the sharp gleam in her eyes.

Lunaryna pointedly states, "They were also a way for ladies to conceal not only their facial expressions, but a thin blade among the slats.."

Lunaryna flutters her ebon silk fan smoothly, the blades within flashing in glittering arcs within mere breaths of her skin.

Lunaryna smiles slowly and flicks open the silk of her fan and flattens it, pointing the bladed tips towards the audience to show a small hollow slat in the center of the fan, the glint of a hilt can be seen within.

Lunaryna measuredly instructs, "As you can see, there is a small hollow slat that can be used to conceal a small blade, misericords are a personal favourite of mine.."

Sorrenn says, "Ladies are dangerous."

Sorrenn ducks his head.

Teveriel nods in agreement at Serenwy.

Lunaryna amusedly remarks, "Ladies know that being armed in the most fashionable way possible is the only option.."

Berkana begins chuckling at Sorrenn!

Lunaryna dramatically asks, "Could you imagine having not a single blade among your sparkly accoutrements?"

Lunaryna stares over the top of her petite-framed glasses with a look of utter disbelief.

Lunaryna seriously states, "Horrifying.."

You agree with Lunaryna.

Fromer starts chortling.

Naelan smirks.

(Lunaryna composes herself again and flicks her fan upward slightly, the hilt of the hidden dagger slipping upward to allow her to pull it out, showing how it fits into the hidden sheath before she slides it back in.)

Lunaryna comments, "I prefer to keep the thinner blades within, adds a little more to the concealment of it and leaves very little evidence behind in its wake."

Lunaryna fans herself lightly with her ebon silk fan, the small bladepoints within glittering like a trail of twinkling stardust over her skin as she takes on a subtly studious expression.

Lunaryna carefully continues, "And for those of us ladies with a bit more than a little flare."

Lunaryna slowly extends her hand and flicks her ebon silk fan closed in one smooth, fluid motion -- allowing the small smile playing upon her lips to be seen once again.

Lunaryna icily warns, "It is a very bad idea to upset us.."

Lunaryna whisks open her ebon silk fan with a fluid snap of her wrist, its razored edges mirroring the sharp gleam in her eyes.

Lunaryna glances at Orssus.

Lunaryna smirks as a haughty expression flits across her face.

Lunaryna mischievously remarks, "And of course, giving a little warning can be more fun than getting right to the point."

Lunaryna bursts into a storm of precise, fluid slashes with her ebon silk fan -- her flurry of movement ceasing as she slowly brings the fan in a steep upward swipe and shuts it with a sharp SNAP -- the triad of blades within it pointing directly at Orssus's throat.

Orssus smiles warily at Lunaryna.

(Lunaryna presses the drape of her gown down a bit to smooth it out as she recomposes herself, turning to face the audience with a slight nod of her head for a bow.)

Conneir says, "Oh."

Lunaryna smoothly reminds, "It is all in the accessories. As a wise women said one can never go wrong with the right ones.."

(Lunaryna shifts her eyes to you and smiles, holding her hand out to you as she moves to one side of the stage.)

Teveriel surreptitiously glances at Serenwy.

Lunaryna flicks open her fan with a casual flick of her wrist.

Kayse moves to the front of the stage and gazes over the crowd.)

Lunaryna lightly fans herself with her ebon silk fan.

You nonchalantly say, "As you can see, there are a variety of accessories and garments available to you to use for protection, while not taking away from your sense of fashion."

Lunaryna nods in agreement.

You appreciatively say, "Thank you for attending our lecture on hidden accessories, we hope you learned something....useful."

Lunaryna smiles.

Naelan applauds.

Sorrenn says, "Yah careful who you hug."

Conneir applauds.

You put a black willow framed shadowbox in your black leather jacket.

Fromer applauds.

You chuckle at Sorrenn.

Lunaryna laughs softly, trying to hide her amusement.

Rowmi applauds loudly.

Lunaryna nods at Sorrenn.

Berkana begins chuckling at Sorrenn!

Riend applauds politely.

Conneir begins chuckling at Sorrenn!

Narcissiia applauds politely.

Teveriel applauds politely.

Lunaryna amusedly says, "Precisely."

Speaking deeply to Sorrenn, Orssus says, "Ladies don't need a weapon to be dangerous."

Orssus grins at Sorrenn.

Bekke smiles amusedly.

Lunaryna places her ebon silk fan on her wrist and ties it there securely.

Speaking to you, Sorrenn says, "Nicely done! Thanks for putting this together."

Orssus deeply says, "But it certainly doesn't hurt...well it might, if they want it to."

Orssus chuckles.

You nod at Sorrenn.

Sbinna grins at Orssus.

Speaking amusedly to Sorrenn, you say, "Fashion and daggers, can't get better than that."

~Kayse's figment of her imagination.

(OOC) You quietly whisper to Riend, "What's the verb for glancing at someone and exhaling?"
