POLICY 18 Update 06/20/2015 01:30 PM CDT
We've just released an update to POLICY 18. We've added a new timeline to how warnings and penalties are applied. Most notably, the first warning isn't an officially warning. Many times we run into a player who honestly just made a mistake. So consider the first warning now an educational first step to understand the policy. There has also been a minor update on some language to explain things like animal companion affinity and instrument skill is part of POLICY 18. There are other offenses, such as scripting citizenship or earning attunement to various items as well when not paying attention to the game environment. Basically, any sort of GAIN in game can be flagged as a violation to POLICY 18 if you're scripting it and not actually in control of your FE. This is nothing new, just a little more clearer.

Another difference is that staff will be spending a lot less time on the actual check to see if you are violating this policy. Prior to this change, staff could spend upwards to an hour checking a single person. Checks will now only last about 5 minutes regardless of the situation. If the player chooses to run back to a safe area or perform a kill switch, it will no longer suspend the check like it previously has.

Lastly, F2P accounts that achieve 3 warnings will be put on ice permanently. The only way for a F2P account to be released is by using RETIRE in the lockout room. Please play responsibly!

Please be sure to review NEWS 5 14 and check POLICY 18 in game.
