Bounties broken? 02/26/2021 05:22 AM CST

I just ran a boost looking to get a gem bounty in Icemule for 20 minutes without being offered it at all. 5 minutes is a pretty extreme wait for a gem bounty to come up and 20 is way off the scale for plausible randomness.

That is strange, but a thought. Do you run ;Mybounty ? If so, make sure you have YES in the gem box.

I don't run "I lost my kid, I'm stupid" bounties and bandits are off limits (too many bad memories).

I try to stick with lost heirloom, kill X, forage and sometimes gems. I usually find that if I was looking specifically for a "Kill X" bounty and pop a bounty boost - I can pull every other bounty for a good 5-10 minutes sometimes before I get what I want.

I run my own script, and I have the log. Gem bounties were not offered. If the dice were fair, the odds of that by chance are about the same as an open roll of 1000-1100. I did try taking out a waiver on escorts just in case some bug had slapped me with a waiver on gems.

I gave it another run today, still nothing, its up to the equivalent of a 1600 open roll if the dice were fair now, and there was another character fruitlessly burning through expedites the whole time, so its not just me its affecting.

REPORT if its still there tomorrow?

I worked out what was happening.

I'd levelled into the bounty gap after Pinefar, and gem bounties are the first to go. There are still critters for the other bounties, but seekers must be the last that qualify for gems. I wound up the difficulty to max to get to Den of Rot levels, and 30s later, out popped a lapis bounty.
