She watched the head of the river every day, from sun up until sun down. Sometimes, Percy was at her side, though of late he seemed fascinated by a local woman named Sal.

In the evenings, she met with local fishermen, sailors, and any that had come in off the sea that would listen to her. It had been weeks and she had thought that by now she’d have heard of someone from Caligos Isle surviving.

When a month had passed, she started to despair, but as a second month was drawing to a close she started to hear faint whispers.

“Palest dark elf I’ve ever seen,” one man said. “Said he’d been too long in the mists.”

“Heard tale that a bunch of debris washed up on a small island east of the Southron Wastes. Some half-krolvin and dwarven woman were collecting the pieces.”


“Saw a half-elf and giant woman floating amid some crates and dropped them off by Ta’Nalfein.”

They were finding land. All of the people that she thought she’d lost. All of those that had somehow managed to survive the fall of Caligos Island. And soon, she would find them all again.
