Acuity Flares and SMRv2 02/17/2020 01:20 PM CST
Acuity flares can now trigger from magical SMRv2 attacks (Condemn (309), Ethereal Censer (320), Boil Earth (917), and Force Project (1207)). It provides a bonus equal to the CS bonus for spells (which is 60% of the AS bonus for bolts). e.g. 10x acuity will provide a bonus of 30 (as show on the SMR result line):

... 30 points of damage!
Strike to right forearm strips away skin, exposing bleached bone and useless tendons!

Is it just the ordinary acuity flares that trigger it? What about acuity flares on bane weapons and ensorcell flares?

I really don't want my acuity flare to be applied to the weaker SMRv2 spell rather than the CS spell I cast subsequently. Is there a way to opt out of this for the self-cast version of 320 solely for the mana benefit?

Does this change also apply to 616 as a "magical SMRv2 attack?"

Spike Thorn (616) is not a SMRv2 attack. If it does get updated to become one, it would be included (as well any other spell).

FYI - Did some testing and I am not seeing any impact of ensorcell flares (on a runestaff) on spike thorn casts. I do not have an acuity flaring runestaff so I'm not sure if those work or not. Or maybe they work and it's just not showing up in the bonus. Either way
