Old Ta'Faendryl Rescue issues 04/13/2021 02:20 PM CDT

There are several issues that make it so difficult to rescue people in Old Ta'Faendryl that most people just depart and use salve.

1) You can't drag people past greater or lesser constructs, and many classes have no effective means with which to deal with these, particularly Clerics and Empaths.

2) The corpse can be picked up and flown away by war griffins.

3) Spirit Fog (130) teleports you to a random position, one of which is advantageous [Ta'Faendryl, Approach] since it's right next to the exit portal. Casting this repeatedly and hoping for the right destination used to be an unhappy solution, but the caster is effectively punished by learning Spiritual Lore, Summoning ranks, as the target becomes less and less random. This is supposed to be a reward for learning the skill, and takes you to the sanctified cottage, but in reality, this is a detriment to rescuing people, since it's super far from the exit, and that path is always occupied by multiple constructs. With enough Summoning lore, it becomes the only destination, and makes rescuing people infinitely harder.

Suggested fixes:

A) 130 could be fixed by either having the "advantageous" position be the [Ta'Faendryl, Approach] exit while in OTF, or by allowing the caster to select a specific room as their intended target.

B) Greater constructs should lose their effective magic immunity.

YES, Please either make the Approach the dominant target or heck -- even the Dais.

Some lady softly says, "Naamit is over-rated."
You reply, speaking to the lady, "At least I have ratings."

Perhaps allow Spirit Guide/130 to be 'anchored' using a skill check similar to Song of Travel/1020?
(30th on a minor list vs. 20th on a Semi [equivalent to a major] seems about the corresponding level of power.)
