Oddly enough, I had just over the weekend been thinking to myself, "Self, I betcha it pretty much sucks if someone DIES down in the bottom of one of those pitfall traps, because... yeah. Trap. No way out."

So tonight I encounter an area-Boss and his trusty sidekick, one of whom headbutts me (NOW with free RT! [and four-round stun, as I recall]) and... then the other one headbutts me (NOW with additive RT!). So it's not like I'm going to be doing any casting. Great.

Time for walking a room away, and herbs! (At full-RT, because, you know: no Tonis, because "head wound.")

Stem, and ro-po, and great, now I'm down to just a scar. (And still no casting, because "former head wound.") Still walking a room away, as things pop.

And get out the bro-po... bro-po... yeah, no more bro-po in the medicine kit. This, could be a problem.

Great, I'll just walk over to a vortex and... fall into a pitfall trap instead.

Which, of course, you cannot climb OUT of, with a living (??) Reim creature.

But I can't kill it, because no spells. Because no healing, because out of herbs, because walking back to town to buy more.

Yes, I acknowledge my own damn fault in not re-stocking the herbal pantry. That's on me.

Congrats! Instead of being logged in for two hours--don't you just miss the days when you would have been collecting money for that?!?--I have chosen to just logout, wait for my Reim timer to expire and boot me from the area so that I can go buy some herbs, and read some more of my ebook.

I suppose that I could just put the gear away in Offensive and lay down to get killed, but I'd rather keep the duration on the Spellbound items. Honestly, charges of that are harder for me to come by than coughing up two hours of not-playing.

Oddly enough, I don't actually mind most of what you posted there because it's a special area (though I HATE stacking RT). That said, I also really dislike pit traps. You should always have the option to disengage an enemy. Let it cause damage on the way out and follow you, but it should always be an option to walk away.

- <during that fight> area boss spawns, dis-inclined to leave;

I literally logged out after that, first because I wanted to post, but mostly because I'd been stranded in that same ^&#@%@!#^&% damn room so long that I had to pee.
