Take an existing weapon, take it apart, the head/blade/whatever retains the stats. You make a new perfect haft/handle/whatever and, perhaps with the same metal the original item is crafted from, reforge the head/blade/whatever. All the same annoyingly long RTs/failed attempts, etc. as current forging, but it would allow you to take someone's uber item and make it perfect.

This answers a lot of people's requests to allow a way to turn a weapon into a perfect without taking the ability out of the hands of a warrior.

This would give warriors a better money maker...something maybe a little bit closer to enchanting/ensorcelling etc.

Follow the trend of requiring weekly skill point build up to make this a reality.

Do what you need to to make this allowable, and then make it happen.
