Guild Night 01/09/2019 08:05 PM CST
Not sure if this is place to post...

So I live in PST (West Coast) and am a returning player--I could have sworn the first time I logged into the game on a Wednesday night it took that into consideration and the boost was until 03:00 Elven time, Midnight my time.

I was back home, CST for the Holidays and it was adjusted there for CST so I thought it was recognizing the log in zone.

Tonight I log in and the boost shows until Midnight--which would be 9pm PST...is that right, does it rotate at all or is it always set for Elven time no matter what and I misread everything?

Thanks.

It should be every Wednesday from 5 PM - 12 AM eastern every week.

Kinda painful for West Coasters with jobs :)

I it would be abused it was set up per character but what about per account and starts at log in time on every Wednesday after 2PM Elven -- just a thought.

West coasters are too busy dodging natural disasters to be in game so they stopped taking them into account...

Not ever worrying about a Hurricane +10 Logic

Living in NV with no State Taxes, no fires, no earthquakes, no tornadoes, etc...+100 Logic :)

Its just a bummer to only have such a short time boost--I get how tough it was for everyone to level these skills without the boost--did it on few amount of characters with Illusions and so forth...but the whole point is to allow those with limited time to "keep up" much like Lumnis Gift.

I think it should work like Lumnis Gift but be account bound--Log in and it is activated for an account or select setting for the existing time. Just my two cents, and I think that is fair to be honest.

Those are neat ideas, but there is one issue I can think of with that, besides the coding/system building that would need to go into it: One of the goal of the Guild Night system is to make sure that everyone is experiencing the bonus to advancing in the guilds at the same time, as to give an incentive toward people helping each other out with partner reps, etc. For example, I know that many people, including myself, will log their characters in to help on Guild Night just because it IS guild night, I know exactly when it is, and I can choose to help people advance in that time window. All of these people wouldn't be getting ad much of that type of help if everyone's guild night ran like Lumnis for their personal self.

I haven't had a single person wanting my help since guild nights were introduced. Its completely killed off player interaction for those whose time falls outside that window.

It is definitely handy if you can make the window though!

I understand why it can’t be exactly like Lumnis. What I think would be fair is the 7hr boost starting when you log in the account during a specified time frame.

That window could be from 5 to 8 pm elven and give the same amount of time to each account.

There is overlap there and gives more flexibility to all time zones without losing the true point of Guild.

The other option is to rotate the start time—why should the East Coast get the premier time every single week? I think the extra window is a better option because of what was stated sbove with knowing the start time.
