Ordim set to work almost immediately after the last patrons left for the evening. Armed with a stained napkin, he set upon the filthy bar top with as much energy as he could muster. Almost instantly he was exhausted and complaing to himself -

<<This must be why Greth hardly ever cleans up! It just never ends, there is dirt and grime everywhere!

The complaining just as quickly turned into daydreaming as the once furious cleaning dwindled into a half-hearted swirling of a dirty napkin on a dirty bar top-

<<I bet this is exactly what happens to Greth, clean up just enough to look like you tried and then do something else. Maybe sleep! Sleep sounds great, but that storeroom is filled with bedding and expired dry stocks. I'm pretty sure I saw a crate that was twenty years old in there! Maybe we can use that to make the memorial statue or plaque, that would be nice to do.

A sudden twitch brought Ordim out of his daydream as he stopped his futile cleaning and blushed. Even all alone he felt the shame of such a terrible job. He scolded himself and stuffed the napkin back into his satchel before gazing around the bar and spotting the Chance Box. With a wide grin, he bumbled over to the enruned teak box and shook it gleefully as silvers poured out onto the floor. The patrons had mostly taken to the game and 'donated' numerous silvers to the new bar.

<<One million, two million, three million, nearly four million silvers! That's a profit of uh... almost a million silvers! We can probably get a cheap gold-plated statue or maybe just a big fired-clay statue and paint it gold and put it near the fireplace. Oh no, the fireplace still needs to be cleaned too and I need to check on the peanut and make sure there is enough left of it for tomorrow and ...

Ordim sighed to himself as he continued to list off all the work that was left to do.

<At least the grand opening of The Stumbling Penguin Bar IV: Unfeathered Fun was a success with only a few people complaining. The menu will be tough to finalize, but at least there was a lot of help there too! We'll make this the best bar on the island, even if it kills someone other than me yet!

While the Greth is away, the Ordim will play - The Stumbling Pebble bar is unofficially officially remaining open under the new management of Ordim and the new name of The Stumbling Penguin Bar IX: Lord of the Wings. Keep an ear/mind out for gambling, games and other fun and maybe not so fun games and events announced until Ordim is chased off or runs out of ideas!

Fire in the Night - Ordim's nightmare

The sound of crashing timbers startled Ordim awake. Confused and coughing from the thick smoke, he managed to roll off the storage crate he had been sleeping on and land in the fresher air near the ground. His lungs finally filled with good air, and the dire situation finally came into full view - The Stumbling Penguin Bar was on fire! Crimson flames danced around him and the consumed material crackled as it turned from black to grey before the remaining ash was lifted into the sky on the swift currents created by the overwhelming heat.

Ordim scrambled towards the exit via a combination of crawling and rolling as he swatted at the flames that licked at his clothing. As he neared the double doors to freedom, and the cooling night rain that seemed constant on the island, he jumped up and dashed forward as fast as he could. The oak bar shattered into an explosion of wooden shards just as he managed to launch himself through the doors. It only took him a moment to realize that the cool wash of rain was not there to greet him. Instead, he was back in the bar, surrounded by flames and exhausted from his efforts. He mustered the strength to rush again for the door and was once again greeted to being returned to the center of the conflagration.
