But when some is wearing nothing, they are marked as wearing nothing special (so to me they are wearing something, just nothing fancy or bedazzeled or part of the Necromancer Fashionista Vogue).

I perfer to envision longjohns on everyone. All the time. With the drop flap and all. That way it never strikes me as odd to see someone wearing armor, a backpack and nothing else.
