When you hit somewhere other than where you intended, do you gain less exp or does it just do less damage?

More importantly, in such a case is EXP calculated solely by damage done or by how accurate you were?

If I remember right, it should be by damage, just like a weapon no matter where you hit.

Hope that helps,

In a very basic explanation (I can make it a lot more complicated), exp gain from targetted spells is not affected by body location, only by the amount of damage delivered.

Your mech lore ranks could care less if the paper is blue or plain.

You say, "True, but that is no reason not to try."

I wouldn't think that targetting eyes and hitting the head, for example, would penalize your experience gain from hitting at all.

In my youth I'd get the most TM working lower weapons in rock trolls and just one hit kill eye shotting jackals that wandered in.

Lots more stuff coming 'Soon'!

Most of mine came from one-shotting enough swamp trolls with fireballs so I could buy a spellbook, back when they first came out. Then the req's changed and I've been training weapons and multi ever since... that's why I left actually, I needed a bazillion back-trained ranks and it looked hopeless!

Yay for the combat changes!
