buffing spells effect on defenses 11/14/2012 01:36 PM CST
At blue bellied crocs, fully buffed, they're a joke. sw/ys/suf at max.
At leucros, fully buffed they're still a little scary. Can only handle max 2 at a time.

Which will teach defenses better. blue bellied crocs with no buff spells up or leucros buffed out to the max?

Thanks.

Leucros are harder than crocs and teach higher, and that is why they're scarier for you. Buff spells also do not effect your learning in that way - that is, if you have 100 evasion, a critter that teaches to 110 evasion, and you buff yourself to 120 evasion, you will still learn evasion.

nice! so there's no reason to not buff myself and hunt higher.

The answer to that is yes and no. Over hunting is ok, but if buffs fail tends to be fatal. Personally I hunt low cost and use buffs for uh oh situations more than depending on them.

that is true. as is rebuffing while getting swarmed. So far leucros seem to be treating me well so I'll stick with them with lots of buffs. Just keep an eye out for my dead body in leucros. =c)
