Stat focus and PM training 09/02/2012 08:07 AM CDT
Trying to figure out where I should start focusing my TDPS. What stats do warrior mages generally focus on?

Strength : 23 Reflex : 24
Agility : 24 Charisma : 12
Discipline : 14 Wisdom : 20
Intelligence : 20 Stamina : 22

Concentration : 94 Max : 94

Favors : 3
TDPs : 326
Encumbrance : None

And I'm having trouble moving PM. It is starting to lag behind. I can barely get it over attentive. Any advice will be greatly appreciated on how to get it moving and trained properly.

discipline and agility for TM, and the usual assortment for combat <stamina/reflex, str if you use a 2 -hander, etc.

However, this might go out the window in 3.0. Mentals are becoming even more important <grrr. S'kra character here>.

Oh and last one, DR at any given time has a population of weenies that will criticize at the drop of a hat, don't take things personally it happens to everyone.

Thanks. I'll focus on agility and disc for now and wait to see how things turn out in 3.0.

I tend to take the opposite approach when playing a WM. Your TM will naturally take care of itself; as such, I do not focus too heavily on those stats to help it along, though I don't neglect them either. I do focus more heavily on reflex though, as compensation for tertiary defenses, so I can safely move up the critter ladder quicker.

Your stats are looking ok for starting out.

Charisma - Useless after 30 unless you PvP. Sure there are exceptions, and sure I'm exaggerating a bit with 'useless', but post 30, sans PvP, there are always better places to put TDPs.
Discipline - Probably the single most useful stat there is. However, as a WM, you can largely ignore it until later. (As an example, mine sat at 20 until my mentals/physicals were around 40, now it's sitting at 40 while everything else goes to 60)
Reflex - My favorite stat. Especially useful with tertiary defenses like DA said.
Strength - I usually stop training this around 40 when I hit acceptable RT on my big weapons and not much burden. (this is a big problem with shalswar hides though, why the hell are they so heavy?!)
Agility - I keep this high because I'm an elf and it's cheap. Otherwise, I tend to focus on other stats after I have the RT I want.
Wisdom - I consider this one very important due to how we have so many useful skills as tertiaries.
Stamina - Most people stop training this early. I'm a big fan, and I suspect it will become even more important in 3.0

Recap: Strength/Stamina till burden is under control. Then 20-30 Reflex, enough to cruise for a while. Agility/Strength until desired weapon RT. Then mentals. Make sure to have 30 Charisma @ 50th circle (for familiar dragging), and the rest is gravy. Keep in mind all of this is subject to your playstyle. STR/STA for physical offense, AGI/DISC/CHA for magic offense, REF for defense. INT/WIS for learning faster. Prioritize however you feel fits your character best.

My snapshot @50ish:

Strength : 30 Reflex : 40
Agility : 40 Charisma : 30
Discipline : 20 Wisdom : 30
Intelligence : 30 Stamina : 30

@90th:

Strength : 40 Reflex : 56
Agility : 50 Charisma : 30
Discipline : 40 Wisdom : 45
Intelligence : 50 Stamina : 40

Current goals: Reflex to 60, then Wisdom, then Agility, then Stamina (or Discipline if I go back to training stealth).
