Gotta say I like barrage over all. It's really only helpfull if you have extra time and don't need clear critters in a hurry but other than that it's kinda fun to play around with.

The lance wobbles as it strikes its chest, the movement of the blade pulling the wound open and letting a thick smear of blood run down its legs.

A shimmering silvery-blue glow quickly spreads from your hand to the tip of your sword, then quickly fades.
< Moving with powerful grace, you sweep a fullered bastard sword etched with silver symbols down the blade at a gruff snow goblin. A gruff snow goblin slaps away little of the sword with a frozen club. The sword lands a massive strike that explodes the heart and lungs with a bone-shattering blow to the chest.
A gruff snow goblin stares at you stupidly for a moment, before its eyes roll backwards into its head. The creature's skin turns frosty blue, taking on an icy appearance, as it falls to the ground with a thud.
