Recently got a familiar and am receiving the following message when I try to summon it:

You discharge a burst of energy at the planar void, but the breach is too short-lived for your familiar to cross.

This is probably something simple but its escaping me - any help is appreciated. Thank You

Summoning a familiar teaches the Summoning skill and spends some of your Elemental Charge (anything you do with it after it is summoned takes no charge).

That's the message you get when you don't have enough EC to perform the summoning. If you SUMMON ADMIT a few times you should be able to succeed.

Thank You - checked that first and found it was about halfway full so figured it might have been something else. Gathered some more charge and it worked great - ty
