Hi, Magely Warriors:

Just a few questions from a warmage novice.

1. Do we warmies receive any utility spells, or do only moonies get those?

2. This is not a strictly warmage question, but I'm asking it anyway. I've been looking for the regular Earth-based Dragon Realms gear page, but all I've been finding are the pages with the virtual stuff. Could someone send me an URL? I'm an avowed geek and want to make sure that everyone I know understands this. Also, is there any special war mage gear I should look out for?

3. I've been playing DR off and on for about fifteen or sixteen years, off and on, but I've never advanced a character beyond 25th circle or so. Does anyone have advice to keep me on the war mage trail? Spells, bennies, special dealiebobs we get at higher levels? I plan to stick around this time, and would love to hear about some incentives for doing so.

Thanks for your wise counsel. If you don't mind, send it to me at my email, lukaeon@gmail.com as I'm blind and the Forum gives my screen reader a case of the woozies.

<<1. Do we warmies receive any utility spells, or do only moonies get those?

All spell casting guilds have Utility spells and Warrior Mages are no exception, although they do have fewer than some other guilds. Ethereal Fissure, Magnetic Ballista, Fortress of Ice, Air Bubble (lol), Rising Mists, and Ignite are all Utility spells. This page on elanthipedia lists all the spells and their stats in a sortable table so it is easy to see details about these and any others you want at a glance: https://elanthipedia.play.net/mediawiki/index.php/Warrior_Mage_Spells

I'm not sure what you're asking for. Do you mean a website that has real-life representations of gear that is available in DR? I don't of anything for the former aside from googling things like 'khuj weapon' or 'basinet armor.' Or do you simply mean a page that lists all the gear in game? If so, then the following pages should help you out:

Warrior mages really come to life around 50+ circle. Our powerful advanced offensive and defensive spells are next to useless with magics under that circle.

Warrior mages are focused on combat, so our utility is very lacking at this point. Our place on the battle field is to be on the front lines taking out hordes of enemies. We do have a few utility spells that help with this. Ignite lets us add fire damage to our weapons. Fortress of Ice is nice to save yourself and others in case of an emergency to shut yourself out from the outside world. Air bubble is ..... well air bubble, and of course fissure to supply our hungry spells with more mana.
