Dark Familiar quest 03/28/2013 11:19 PM CDT

Has anyone got there dark familiar recently seems either the requirements or something else has changed cant get it to work .

I did it a few weeks ago. I was told that if you are having issues with your completed talisman to just log off an back on and it should be fixed. That made it work for me.

When was the last time you made a dark talisman? The dark familiar quest changed pretty majorly a ... year ago? More? Likely not your issue but FYI.

I am having trouble getting a branch from the tree few others say the same thing.

I forget the particulars, but I thought I heard it takes engineering now to get the branch?

Nope, doesn't use any new skills, though I think it did initially at release and was changed to something more common. There is a random factor in there that can always cause a minor setback regardless of skill. If you don't have the skill required you will constantly bounce off the tree.
