Ok... so I have a request for water globe. I don't want it changed all that much... I just want globes and snowballs to NOT be so much harder to throw then say, a LT axe.

I had this theory that the globes were seriously harder to throw then weapons, so I tested it (log below), and with approximately 30 ranks in light thrown, I could hit my target 3 out of 4 times. With the snowball? Not a single hit. Not one.

Note, he's got about 101 evasion (stanced at 50% cause I suck). I've got 32 in LT.

>>A silver-inlaid throwing axe is a light thrown and medium edged type weapon.

>>The icy snowball feels pretty light.
>>You are certain that the icy snowball is worth about 5 lirums.

You turn to face <target>.
< You throw your throwing axe exactly at <target>'s body, hitting him with a grazing strike.
The throwing axe falls to the ground!

< You throw your throwing axe at <target>, barely missing him.
The throwing axe lands nearby!

< You throw your throwing axe exactly at <target>'s right arm, hitting him with a light strike.
The throwing axe falls to the ground!

< You throw your throwing axe exactly at <target>'s chest, hitting him with a light strike.
The throwing axe falls to the ground!

You gesture, and an icy snowball forms in your hand.
You huck your icy snowball at <target>!
Whiff!
An icy snowball falls to the ground with a plop, and quickly melts.

You gesture, and an icy snowball forms in your hand.
You huck your icy snowball at <target>!
Whiff!
An icy snowball falls to the ground with a plop, and quickly melts.

>>I discovered when I was cleaning the log that I was brawling at the time. That might have changed the outcome, but since I still hit him with the axe anyway, I should have been able to hit him with a damn snowball...

I agree, I miss people who are laying down constantly. Is sort of fun throwing; knowing I'll never hit anyone but a bit sad at the same time.

Wish you could hold a LT weapon in your right hand...then gest your little cantrip, and if its winter, the snowball forms around the LT. <whistles> Carry on.

Haha, that's funny.

I think I know what's up, but it seems to be in the laugh verb. I'll see about fixing it when I have the time. In the meantime... amuse your friends with your uncanny ability! :)

ROFL! Oh that is hillarious! Ponders how to use it in a funny manner before Wythor fixes it.. Are we sure the elements aren't mastering us? :chuckle:

Water Globe and TM 11/17/2007 02:57 PM CST
I have been wondering something. The Cantrip of Water Globe and throwing it at people using the light thrown skill might seem logical but would it not make even more sense to use the TM skill instead?

If you gesture at someone to throw the globe at them, the cantrip uses TM.

If you gesture at yourself then throw the ball, it uses LT.

Why is it that the water globe when formed into a snowball can not be melted down to a water form again. This is mildly annoying when you blow a flea trap in the middle of Aesry with no water anywhere. Just curious if there is a reason for it or not that makes logical sense in the game.

If you mean it's manifesting as a snowball when you want a water ball use burning touch to melt it.

Burning Touch should be melting them, but the updates broke this feature. I've tracked down the issue and should have it fixed shortly.
