A Common Defense 01/19/2005 05:15 PM CST
Are you tired of being a part of a prince's or baron's militia? Are you tired of you work supporting the goals of a few, leaving you with an empty hand? Those times can change.

I will be going for province to province during the next couple weeks to try to speak to those interested in coming together as Warrior Mages for the common defense of the guild in times of future hostilities. I will not only be looking for those of higher stature in the guild but those of all backgrounds and experience. We will come together in each province to learn to work and train and fight as a cohesive whole. This is an opportunity to show that the Warrior Mage guild has not degenerated from its past glory and that indeed the guild can eclipse its past glories. This is a time to make history, and not to just be part of it. Our heritage as mages is greater and deeper than any barony or princedom and we should live up to that.

If we can come together for this common defense we will be able to overcome any obstacles that may come in the future.

I would like to have a general meeting for those whom may be interesting in hearing more about this at the Warrior Mage guild in Crossings February 13th at 9pm EST. This will be an opportunity for questions and to express any ideas that anyone may have. I will discuss some of the goals and such at the meeting. It will not last too long, till 9:45pm EST at the latest, since I would like to attend the Aether Cabal meeting that same night at 10pm EST.

So if you want to be part of a group where your opinion matters and your views will be respected, feel free to come.

Also wanted to mention if you are unable to come in person feel free to attend via your familiar. Will likely be in the old tower in the workshop.

Hey Lomelinde,

Ooh, I think I'll check out your meeting! But where exactly is the old tower workshop? (I'm woefully out of touch with the geography of the guildhall.)

If he means the workshop in Arhat's Tower, that is in the burned down tower which was the original Warrior Mage guild hall by Crossing, then just go upstairs a level or two.

From Lomelinde.

I have expressed my interest in the past with helping you and still wish to.

I am unable to connect to the game because my service provider is having slow and intermittent connections and I am unable to log in. Please pass along my wishes to the group. We spoke in the past on this and I just wanted you to know my committment is still there even though I can't get in for the meeting.

You didn't miss much. No one showed. May reschedual in the future. I will get word out to you if I do. A group that would not thrive off drama, glory hounding, and backstabbing... what was I thinking? I should have know better that a group that does not have included in its charter what type of balm to apply to one's lips before puckering up to a prince's or baron's rear end would not make it.

Maybe I will find a niche in another group, but I doubt it. Their causes have never really seemed all that important to me.
