This is a purely selfish request. Sometimes I find myself playing when there aren't any shops open (i.e. not during the 12pm-8pm slot when 99.9% are open).

As the population dwindles, there's an increasing need for access to tools, shopping, and gear, at off hours because it means there are fewer people on the gweth to respond to ad-hoc requests, and fewer people who maintain shops with odd hours.

I understand traders need to be able to grow, and that the system was designed so you couldn't maintain 24 hours of up time, but honestly, 23-24 hours in modern DR just seems reasonable. It's fun, conceptually, to say 'players need to make a choice', but it's the customers who suffer, because the players all chose the same time frame to stay open because that's the profitable one.
